[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] all burners maintain a constant temperature at any knob setting; Downdraft vent is very effective at removing steam and odors from kitchen. Cooktop is easy to clean and does not show starches when used with new slip coated utensils. Only improvement would be to have a red indicator at each heating element to show it is hot and dangerous to touch

Great Assistance from Lowe's

When I ordered this cooktop, I was originally informed that delivery was going to be four weeks later. Last week I got informed that the delivery date could be moved up, so I took the earliest date they offered. Really happy about that. Glass cooktop issues

This is an update from my previous post on glass having bubbles or blemishes under. Whirlpool sent me a cleaning kit and I was astonished that the blemishes were on the surface and came clean. We had not spilled anything that would have caused that. Cooktop looks new again and I’m happy about that. Still looking for a common household cleaner that will work as well as Whirlpools magic juice.

Glass cooktop issues

These new glass cooktops are ugly after 1st use. Bubbles appear under the glass with a halo around the perimeter of the burner. top is brand new, not dirty!!! All other appliances are Kitchen-Aid and I was very happy with them, but apparently all of these glass cook tops have bad reviews now. Very disappointed with this expensive cooktop. Several emails with Whirlpool and they are sending a cleaning kit. IT'S NOT DIRTY. I hate to use this one. I might remove and go gas.

Scratch Magnet stains with every use

It’s beautiful & works great , "BUT" a BIG BUT it's a scratch magnet, my wife has been very careful with pans on sursurfase it does not matter how careful you are every use results in new surphase stains which are not removable at all. if I know it was so easy to scratch i would not have purchased i can't not recommend this product. Nice Cook Top

Easy to install. Looks and works great. Don't like that the hot burner notification is not next to the individual burners on the cook surface.

Modern clean looking cooktop

Clean modern looking. Concerned about possible scratching. Bought a silicone protector.

Do Not Buy

Do not buy this product! Bought this last summer and the first item was returned because installers noticed glass was warped, so they ordered a new one. New one just started warping also but it's out of the factory warranty, so new glass plus repair is about $850! All my kitchen appliances (except dishwasher) are KitchenAid, so this is very dissapointing.

Rough stainless steel edges!

I just had this installed. The stainless-steel edges are rough and I have already scratched my finger on it! The ends of the stainless-steel edges look like someone cut them with a saw and just walked away. They are unfinished. Surely, they are not supposed to look like this!!!!

Did KitchenAid fix all of the quality problems?

I just bought this on a big sale from one that had been returned in an unopened box. Now I read reviews about cracking and discolouration and many other issues. I'm wondering what KitchenAid did to correct those issues?

Nice cooktop

Straight forward install which I did myself with a friends help to set the cooktop in place. Very nice downdraft cooktop that looks and works great. Only neg aspect to the install was the included pad tape was maybe 1/8” wide and very susceptible to tearing. Hard to believe a $2K+ cooktop didn’t have a more adequate pad tape included. 1/2” wide pad tape should have been supplied. Other than that the install was easy if you have basic DIY skills.
