What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this soil for exceptional value and plant growth results, with most reporting thriving vegetables and improved moisture retention in gardens and raised beds. Many note the large bag volume and affordability. Some describe the texture as chunky with wood chips, though most understand it functions as a soil amendment to mix with existing soil. A few report debris or insects, but these concerns are far outweighed by widespread satisfaction. Overall, reviewers consistently recommend it for gardeners seeking reliable, cost-effective soil improvement.

Would RecommendGood product. It has a good balance of soil and mulch. Not an expert on soil but I can only say that my Roses are thriving.

NOT soil
Would Not RecommendThis is straight up wood chips. This is NOT soil. It’s not even mulch. It killed the first two plants I put in it. I dug up the bed and replaced this garbage with actual potting soil. I was able to use this to ornamentally cover the bed afterwards, but it was a waste (and I bought 4 bags).
Out of all the Organic garden soils, I believe this one is the most affordable with the most soil. It does pretty good with my plants. I don't like that it sometimes leaves stains on my cement, but that can be fixed if the pots have a saucer underneath instead. It does its job. My plants are able to develop their roots pretty quickly in this soil, it has great drainage and aeration.

Good not great soil product
Would RecommendThis product provides great aeration and drainage likely because it contains a lot of mulched up wood bits. It doesn’t have a lot of nutrients as a stand alone product so you’ll likely want to add fertilizer and other product to assist in root development and plant growth. Because it is loose and earthy it does mix well with other products and serves as a good filler at a good price.
