What a pleasant surprise. Works great and fairly inexpensive. I used it to check power consumption on a circuit board and to locate AC lines behind a wall. I wish I had purchased this years ago.

If, like me, you need a multimeter for your hobby, this is a great "toy". Just set whether you want to measure direct or alternating voltage, thanks to Autorange you just read the value and you're good. The same applies to resistance measurement, etc. The fact that even the sockets that need to be used light up makes the whole thing really child's play. This multimeter has everything you need - at least I do - and more. Great part.

Solid and high quality multimeter

It is my first multimeter and I am very satisfied. All the usual functions are available, the workmanship is great and so is the accuracy. I particularly liked the lighting of the sockets, because they light up when switched on, depending on which type of measurement you choose, it is immediately clear where the measuring cables have to be plugged in. The batteries also last a really long time if, as in my case, you only use it every now and then. The customer service from Kaiweets is also great...

WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU ABOUT THE TEST LEADS

I received the unit and at first, the test leads don't seem to fit into the sockets. Well, after some research I find there is a plastic cap covering the test lead connection to the multimeter. You have to pull off the rounded bottom portion of the protective cap. The test portion also is confusing. The tips are small, short metal points for testing circuit boards but it you pull those off, you have the more usable long metal lead. Sure would be nice if this was covered in the manual!

how to make probes fit into meter

Each probe has a tube inside a tube. So you need to remove the smaller diameter (red and black) inner tubes from the outer plastic tube that you slide into the meter + and - ports. Was not in instructions. Silly omission.

Needed to trobleshoot an electrical problem and this meter has the ability to check for live wires by using the meter as a non contact tester or using a single probe to touch connections and see if they are live. There is even a built in flaslight to point at what you need to measure in a low light environment.
