I like the little finger notch underneath to hold the tape from retracting instead of having to push the lock button all the time. I also like being able to read a tape measure from the underside. It really comes in handy.

Rugged enough to survive Me

SMOOTH

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The IRWIN Strait-Line is easy to read both sides ,super smooth on roll out & recovery , a feature that is really good is that on roll out the measure does not get tight near the 16 foot mark. Working at my saw mill the Strait-Line saves a lot of steps & time being able to reach out past the 8 & 12 foot mark with out buckle , that is a big deal when working alone. Hands down its the best tape measure in my inventory & I have many. Keep up the go...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this tape measure indoors for flooring and trim projects. This is my new favorite tape measure because of the finger brake as well as the shape of the case. The shape combined with the materials make it very comfortable and ergonomic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sturdy 16’ x1” that’s well thought out. The finger hold on the bottom is spot on . Control of minor adjustments are easily made with this feature. The markings are crisp and easily read on both front and back of the tape.

On the bottom there is a slot for your finger to brake blade on return so it doesn't snap back hard Blade lock very good Markings are very easy to read.

Nice ergonomic and well thought out tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really appreciate the large letters and the finger brake. It is always hard to slow the retraction of a tape without getting pinched! This tape solves that. You have a nice cut out on the bottom where you can rest your finger and control the retraction speed. It works great. The stand out is quite far as well. The other great point is the size of the letters. I was working with a friend who is older and he is able to read it without glasses....

Irwin 16' tape - sturdy, but still sleek!

The tape measure has an 80 foot drop rating, but with that packaging, Irwin shows that they care about how your tape measure looks once you get it. I won't ever be up 80 feet, but good to know my tape measure could handle it. Durable

I like that it’s smaller so is easy to keep with you. The belt clip is high quality and really everything about it is made to last.

Its big, maybe too big for some

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape measure is beefy vefy strong. If you need a tape measure with a long reach, this is a good one. With just one hand holding the body of the tape measure, it reaches 11'6" with no wind. The downside is that this tape measure is wide, you would need a 2 1/4" deep drawer to store this in. Its also big in your hands, not just in physical size, but in weight. I feels like it is really durable.

Awesome Tool

The width makes for a strong strong solid length when you're stretching out to measure. The 2 sided ability to measure makes for an easy way to see what you are measuring. The size of the scale helps older adults see what their reading. Awesome Tool
