Best bit for OSB that I've found

A one-tooth hole saw works pretty well in OSB (sub-floor & I-joist web), but for smaller holes all the bits I tried, including some designs that are no longer made, will at some point get an OSB flake caught between the cutting edge of the bit and the bottom of the hole and the bit will just spin without cutting. Great bit

Needed to drill well over 100 holes and these bits worked as good as any at any price.

Access hole for Fish tape and wiring

This drill bit was perfect for drill a hole in the ceiling joist between walls to feed fish tape and wires to an existing outlet box. The bore looked so clean and professional.

chamfered cutting edge

this chamfered design is not working, the bit dulled within 25 holes in oak, did not like the cut from the beginning, felt more like it was beating the wood rather than cutting, imo this new design is worthless/junk, purchased a set and intend on throwing them in the trash, maybe others will have better performance than I. need to go back to the original design.

Turned the best into the worst spade bit

The spade bit in the picture is not what Lowe's sells. I've been using Irwin Speedbor Spade bits for over 20 years and...Well Irwin has taken a great product and ruined it. The “CHAMPHERED EDGE” has replaced the “SPUR” which was necessary to scoring and cutting across the grain giving a nice, clean hole even at angles. I had to drill a hole to run new wire for an updated kitchen range. This bit was the perfect tool and just the perfect size!

Performs as expected

While I have only used the bit once, it has performed as expected. Any more, that's an accomplishment. My wife's favorite saying when dealing with any customer service is, "Just do your job". This drilling bit does its job!

Cuts a clean hole

The spurs on the corners ensure a smooth, clean hole through wood or even aluminum siding. Spade bits often don't work well with low-powered drills, but this one did an excellent job for me.

Good for Particle Board Furniture

Bought this to drill holes in some particleboard furniture to run wires/power cables. Did very well as a bit like this can splinter but once you drill one side til the point goes through the back the drill from the back til you break through and makes a clean hole. Well worth the money.

Excellent Purchase

I'm very pleased with this purchase. This bit went through a 2 x 4 in a matter of seconds. The old one I had took, literally, minutes. I would highly recommend this product if you want to drill large holes quickly.
