No cutting power

Did not have the cutting power I expected. Ended up buying a cheaper bit that worked much better.

Drill

Building my own cabin most materials from Lowe’s. Was used to paddle drills for electric and plumbing. I put this on my dewalt impact drill. What a difference just feeding it thru instead of pushing it thru.

This is by far the best drill bit to use for wood.

Broke Day 1

Purchased one today to drill stumps. The bit broke off on the 4th stump. Probably drilled fewer than 20 holes total. Would have hoped for more.

first one I bought broke returned for another it works great, I am careful not to put in bind. have drilled 120 1 inch holes. starts clean and is fast

Do not buy

I went to use the drill bits for the second time today, first time using the 1 1/4 bit and I broke the shank on the third 2x4 I attempted to drill through. Unless they go back to 3/8 shank they are not worth spending your money on.

Sucks

I bought this maybe 2 days ago the end that goes in the drill is already stripped out and the thing barely gose through wood any more this bit sucks save your money

To help make my storage Board

Going to use this to drill holes on the board I'm making. Then I install the cut up dowl rods to hang items on them

Worked well. Clean hole.

Worked well with a predrilled hole and left a surprisingly smooth surface.

Better than any paddle bit

I had to drill thru numerous studs while remodeling and running electrical wiring. After trying a paddle bit of the same size I thought there has to be a better and faster way. The Tri-Flute drill bit drills so fast that you have to back off the forward push a little. I used a regular corded drill but a cordless would work as well

Product needed special

Screw tip trapped the wood a cause it to loose grip with the chuck to solve this problem I had to apply the bit to the wood very slowly

Worth every penny!

I was skeptical to purchase this item as I only needed it for one project. I used it and now I want to find more projects so I can use it again! Best purchase, works like a dream.

Easier to use than spade bits

I find this design easier to use than the spade bits for drilling holes. They work best for me when using the low speed setting on the drill and keeping the speed fairly low on variable speed drills that don't have speed ranges. Even though they are wood boring bits they work pretty well for aluminum doors. The small flutes will cut through the aluminum layer cleanly if you work carefully.
