What Customers Are Saying
The product features a tri-flute design that allows for efficient and quick drilling through various types of wood. Many users praise its speed and ability to create clean, straight holes. However, some report issues with durability, especially with the smaller 1/4-inch shanks, noting the bits can dull or break prematurely. There are also concerns about potential splintering or damage on the backside of the wood due to the aggressive cutting action. Overall, the product seems suitable for many woodworking tasks, but users should pair it with a powerful drill to get the best results, and the 3/8-inch shank versions are preferred for more demanding applications.

Irwin WAKE UP!
The bits with 3/8" shafts were perfect, the bits with the 1/4" shafts are junk.Don't you people read the reviews? Not only do the shafts break with a cordless but the screw tip at the end is too small for bits over 1/2" it strips out before it pulls the bit through the wood. How could you stop making a great tool ?

Where have you been all my life?
This bit is GREAT. You have to really hold onto your drill though as this will take you for a ride. Be careful if you have weak / small wrists like me. Im a guy and am beating myself up doing construction with small wrists. I can say that this bit is less dangerous than a large hole saw or a dull spade type bit. This rips through 2x4s and 2x6s so fast. I had to run electric/plumbing for kitchen, bath, dining area , office area and foyer area for inside and outside electric and plumbing. ...
Broke at quick change. They offer longer versions.
Would RecommendExtension + 1/2" drill on tree stumps. Loved that it was safer feeling than spade bits.
