What Customers Are Saying
The tri-flute design allows these bits to cut through wood quickly and efficiently, handling both hardwoods and softer lumber. Customers report the bits perform well for a variety of applications, from electrical wiring to plumbing. However, the smaller 1/4" shanks are more prone to breaking or stripping, especially with lower-powered drills. Some users also experienced premature dulling of the bits. Overall, these are a good choice for most woodworking tasks, but users should ensure they have sufficient drill power to support the aggressive cutting action.

Would Not RecommendBored 2 holes 1 inch deep and now it just sits and spins without boring.
The staff was very friendly, and nice. I love this store!!
I give it 4 1/2 stars. Love the bit. It’s self tapping tip helps to pull the bit into the material you are boring through. I only thing I don’t like is this, if it hits a hidden nail or screw, it will mess up the bit.

Small shank
Would Not RecommendThey used to be great bits when they had a 3/8” shank. They are garbage now, 1/4” shank twists right off.

Like the shirt length
Would RecommendThis short bit fits in hard to get to areas and works well drilling at an angle to the wood.

Works fine for drilling big holes in 1X4 furring purlins. Only thing I've used it for so far.

Turned into my FAVORITE
Would RecommendI bought an 18” boring bit, a paddle bit and this one. I tried running them all through a 38” table... the third flute make ALL the difference! All of the holes I drilled with this bit stayed straight, and the 1/4” shank enabled chip extraction MICH easier than the 18” boring bit. This bit has become my go to 3/4” bit for anything deeper than a first bet can handle.

Does it’s job, but just ok
Would Not RecommendCompared this and Bosch daredevils while boring through green 4x4’s. It kept clogging up and then stopped progressing all together even after I moved it in and out hoping for it to eject the debris.

Irwin Speedbor
Would RecommendI use it with my Milescraft Drillmate. It bores the 4x4 treated posts with ease and accuracy. The price offered by Lowe's is reasonable and the quality of this drill bit is very good.
