I had heard using a boring bit in a battery operated drill would be a fast and efficient way to plant seedling Larch trees.

Won't Buy Again!

I have used these bits for years,mostly 7/8" and 1" . They were great when they made them with the 3/8" shank, but the 1/4" shank just shear off. I went through 3 of the 1/4" shank 1" bits yesterday alone! And I am drilling with an 18volt DeWalt cordless drill. I used to use the 3/ 8" shank bits in my right angle drill for weeks and never broke 1 ! I am a residential electrician and will not be buying again until you start making them with the 3/8" shank again.

Irwin 1/2” woodboring drill bit

Worked perfectly while drilling theee holes for two new garage doors. Has remained sharp for additional jobs. It actually drilled through two layers of aluminum, in addition to the wood interior door.

Nice Bit

This was a good bit. I bought it to bore out holes in a header board so I could plug them and then remount a sliding barn door. The bit was smooth and made a much cleaner hole then a traditional paddle bit does. I would definitely recommend this bit. The only nock I had against it is that it could get a little squirrelly on you if your not paying attention but that's how it is with a lot of things. also not I was using this bit on softwood and have not used it enough times to comment on dur...

Bore not boring

This thing will bite through wood like it's its new job. It'll tear a hole like it's paper, until you hit an old screw or nail and burns out. Then you having have a boring bit, cause it won't don't much after that.

GREAT BIT

WE INSTALL FABRIC SHIELD HARDWARE AROUND DOORS AND WINDOWS AND THIS BIT DOES GREAT. ONLY ONE WE USE.
