What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these bits for delivering clean, perfectly centered holes with smooth finishes in hardwoods, ideal for joinery and furniture repair. Reviewers consistently highlight sharp, durable construction that retains its edge through extended use, with many noting exceptional value for the price compared to purchasing individual bits. The included storage case adds practical appeal. A few users reported isolated issues like surface rust or dulling after limited use, but these concerns were vastly outweighed by positive feedback on precision, durability, and performance across drill presses and cordless drills.

Value with reliability
Would RecommendGreat option for the price point. As an amateur wood worker, I need reliability but also cost effectiveness. These will last long enough for the amount of use I'll get, and a great value compared to the more expensive brands.

Stick with a spade bit
Would Not RecommendTried using the bits to bore through studs as well as newel posts. After about 5 newel posts, the 5/8” bit I was using pretty much stopped cutting through the posts and started burning it’s way through. After switching to a different bit, same thing happened. Only good thing about these is the case they come in. Sturdy, keeps bits together, and secures nicely.

Same performance for better price
Would RecommendI expected a poor quality product given the price. It was actually great.

Lot of bang for the buck
Would RecommendBasic Forstner bit set in an effective, blow-molded case... Not for the purist but do the job just fine

Thank You Adam Savage for the recommendation!
Would RecommendWas not familiar with these bad boys until Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame reviewed them on his YouTube channel. Wow, I've been missing out on making perfect circles for far too long. These have a great build quality and get the job done nicely and with precision. Now an essential tool in my collection.
This Woodworking Set was a Great Deal
Would RecommendIRWIN is known for making solid drill bits, for decades, and Lowes' pricing was too good to pass up when i was looking for a single Forstner bit and found this set. I ordered it online and the product was ready in a locker coded by email to me within minutes.
