What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this tool for delivering crisp, visible chalk lines and durable metal construction that lasts years. Most highlight its core functionality—producing clean, accurate lines for layout work on timber and siding—as excellent value. Many appreciate the rugged build, 45-degree blade release, and flexibility to choose chalk colors. Some report minor issues like chalk compartment leaking or string tangling, and a few note the blade release button feels stiff. Despite these drawbacks, most customers strongly recommend it for reliable, long-term performance.

Perfect for Projects
I purchased this product for a woodworking project. The chalk lays down crisp, highly visible lines across long timber pieces, making straight cuts effortless. So, I'll tell you that it helped with the projects impact once completed. The tool ergonomics make is comfortable to use, it feels durable, retraction is smooth with low abrasion of the string, and ensures my measurements stay perfectly accurate from start to finish.
Innovative Product
Would RecommendInnovative design that has been around for years.
This chalk line is made of metal instead of plastic. Can't believe they still make stuff outta metal!
No chalk
Would Not RecommendThis is a chalk line...WITH NO CHALK! What idiot thought that was a good idea? Now I have to go back to the store. Total waste of time.
Makes them straight chalk lines.
Would RecommendMakes a straight line for ya to follow. I used it to make my screws straight when building a deck. Would be nice if it came with chalk.
