What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the chalk line for smooth operation, effective chalk retention, and durable construction that enhances accuracy on job sites. Most highlight the intuitive press-button release, secure chalk compartment, and polymer-coated string that holds chalk firmly without spillage. The 100-ft line, textured grip, and rapid 6:1 gear ratio rewind are frequently commended for reducing fatigue and delivering crisp, consistent marks. A few report initial setup challenges or occasional tangling, though most resolve these with proper technique. Overall, reviewers consider it reliable and exceptional value.

Makes nice, straight chalk lines.
Good tool
Would Not RecommendSecond best line I got good and fast rewinding
Easy to use Chalk line
Would RecommendI bought this for a large remodel project. Lowe’s always has a great selection from low end to professional level items. I went with this model because it was in the middle and still had the same features that the top model line had.
This makes lines.
Would RecommendThis marks a line straight and true. It shows up well on a variety of materials.
The chalk doesn't stick to the string very well.
Great chalk line
Would RecommendWorks really well as a chalk line.
What you want is what you get
Would RecommendGreat product. Works seamlessly. Only detractor I have is that it doesn’t come with chalk in it yet. If I would have read the box, I would have known that. So the store should write a 1 star review on me as a shopper for being dumb. Otherwise, 5 stars 👍👍
Good value
Would RecommendEasy to use, marks well.
Overall, it’s not bad, but the lid doesn’t fit tightly and chalk spills out from places where it shouldn’t. The retracting mechanism operates stiffly, and the handle moves up and down inside the housing together with the mechanism, which raises concerns about its long-term durability.
