Ratings & Reviews for InSinkErator Evolution Cover Control Plus Batch feed 3/4-HP Septic Safe Non-corded Garbage Disposal

Great but with a big caveat

CoverStart is more of a pain than I thought it would be. I want yo clean my sink and use the disposal at the same time. I also don't want to take the cover out completely because I could easily lose cutlery and not be able to reach it. That said, it does work well and runs quieter than a dishwasher. If I had it all to do again I'd likely just buy a replacement 444 instead.

I like the magnetic cap.

I like disposals with magnetic caps. Also, I very much like the cap that seals well to keep water in the sink. It would be nice to have a membrane such that you cannot see all the way down to the blades when the cap isn’t blocking the view down into the disposal

Very nice machine

Fit in We’re my last one was powerful and much quieter than the last one. Worth the extra money. Paul Hooper

La Cosina

This is the first batch garbage disposal installed and used in our home. This unit gives me peace of mind that everything will get ground up to the point that drain line clogs will not be a problem. Love the unit and the innovative power switch built into the cover.

Good replacement for an old KitchenAid

Happy to find a batch feed disposer that works better than my old one. A bit quieter and more efficient. Unfortunately, the drain opening is so large and there's no available splashguard, so objects easily fall into the drain/disposer. I've pulled out a small glass jar, a small measuring cup, silverware and measuring spoons. I purchased a strainer which defeats the purpose of the disposal since I have to empty those contents into the drain and wash it.

Need warranty replacement - local appliance company recommended by Insinkerator has not been able to get!

I have not been able to use it. Not working. Waiting on warranty replacement. Can someone expedite!

Evolution cover control plus

This is a great disposal. Actually this is my third insinkerator garbage disposal. The first two lasted over 14 years. On this one the Stopper fell apart in less than a year. Customer service said they would sent me a new part only Once. Really what kind of warranty is this ? I thought it was until 3/2027. This is definitely a quality issue. The part must have been defective to last less than a year. I hope I do not have the same problem again. This disposal was quite expensive. The design of th...

Excellent product

Replaced my 10 year old unit with a new one. This is the best product hands down on the market. The sound of new unit is a big improvement vs the old one. Nice job

Does not seal drain

I have a one hole sink and the plug does not seal so I cannot fill the sink with water

Nice and quite, but getting wet

The product functions great. The only issue is when you pull the plug to drain the sink, with out the disposal running, it splashes water back up the drain. We add an additional vent under the sink to see if that helped but it did not. It splashed up through the disposal enough to get the counter wet at times. Anyone else have the issue?

Much quieter than old unit

Very pleased with my new insinkerator. It is quiet and fast. Seems to be able to grind all waste. Much better overall than old model.

very satisfied

This garburator works very well. It is more powerful than my original one. I like the in drain control. It is still a bit noisy - maybe slightly more quiet than my first one. But I still enjoy having it !

I love it! Super quiet yet powerful.

I love this product; it is super quiet, powerful and safe. The cover is not the best to just let water flow when the device is not being used. I bought a regular cover (not the magnetic one) from Insinkerator and works very good. I just swap cover when I am to use the device. Once it started shaking a lot. I called Insinkerator and service was great. They guided me to resolve the issue and were ready to send a technician. At the end it resolved.

Excellent disposal

Excellent build and quality. Handles waste quickly, efficiently, and amazingly quiet.

Quieter

Handle is heavier than last one & harder to line up contact fir usage.

Quiet and works as expected

What can I say, it's a disposal and it is most successful when I don't have to think about it. It works as advertised, the new magnetic cover and switch seems more robust than the previous style with the plastic flanges that broke. Very quiet.

What a difference

My Insinkerator Badger series finally broke after 25 years of use. I upgraded to the Evolution Cover Control Plus. This disposal is so quiet you hardly know it's grinding. The improvements over the years are amazing. I highly recommend this product.

Super quiet and very strong

I'm completely satisfied with my garbage disposal. It's the quietest one I've ever owned. I highly recommend it!

Easy new install, quiet and powerful

New installation that I did myself-I'm not a professional plumber. Bought an appliance extension cord and cut off the female end. Plugged in to dishwasher electrical outlet (behind DW) and wired disposal. That was probably the most difficult part (but the directions address this). Easy to follow instructions guided me through the rest of the process - there's instructions if you're replacing an existing one, or a completely new install. You can do this!
