Challenging Installation

I found the instructions a bit ambiguous pertaining to the placement of the rubber interface with the locking ring. Consequently, I used some trial and error techniques and eventually figured out how it fit together.

Excellent

I had an Insikerator that was installed in our home when we built it. It worked great for over 23 years. When we needed a new one we new we could'nt go wrong with an Insinkerator. The new one works great just like the old one did.

Quiet, easy to install

Excellent Gsrbafe Disposal

Works great

The InSinkerator does a great job, runs very quiet, and has never given us any reason to worry about the function. I had one prior to this installation and it ran for 13 years before I had to replace it I believe the InSinkerator to be a very well-designed device and I would recommended to all of my friends

Nice unit, easy to install

I installed the Badger 1 with a remote countertop switch, plumbed it in about 4 hrs. The unit is not too large or small and easily fit under the double sink. The unit is quiet and works perfectly. remember to provide a power cord and to use plumber putty at the sink joint. I chose this Badger 1 due to it's being made in the US and reputation. I am very pleased with the system. Thanks for asking.

easy install

We got our NEW Insinkerator. No problems with the installation. I did have a plumber come in and change the drain pipes to clean up the mess and got a lot more room under the sink.

the replaced insinkerator same model with a one year warranty lasted 14 years. the motor was still working it rusted out and was leaking under the sink.

easy replacement, lasted 10 years

If you are only doing a replacement, it's a very easy install. Somewhat disappointed in that the unit only lasted 10 years. Maybe that's a long time for a disposal but I have two others in the house that are spinning ok. This one I replaced was in an outdoor application and that may have hastened its demise. One in the house doesn't get used much - bar area - and it does 'stick' now and then. Easy fix with a broomstick. I have taken to running it more often and that will probably help with longe...

Quieter

This is our second unit. The first one performed well and lasted 18 years. This new one also performs well and is quieter. No complaints.

Hope It Last As Long....

This unit was a replacement for the exact model that lasted for 15 years. I hope this one last that long! It was easy to install and is considerable quieter than it's replacement.

Had to reinstall when the discovered a leak

Clip ring was hard to snap in place. Had to redo it after the unit starting leaking. No issues since!

Powerful, does the job!

I did my research because I needed to replaced a (huge) Kenmore disposal that came with the house 16+ years ago - very glad I chose this Badger. It is relatively quiet, efficient & takes up less space under the sink. My plumber friend installed it for me & even commented on how powerful it was. Definitely recommend!

Don't Forget the Tab!

Great product--seems much more powerful and quiet than the prior disposal we had. Word of warning: right after installation, our dishwasher stopped working--wouldn't drain. We had to call an repairman. He quickly assessed the problem: "Did you just get a new garbage disposal?" The plumber who installed forgot to remove the tab where the drain from the dishwasher enters. Small, but significant and EXPENSIVE mistake. Works great now.
