Solid except plastic screen.

Quality vent that I used for fireplace intake. Reason for 4 rating is the plastic screen has holes big enough for all bugs to get through. I added a metal screen with smaller gaps to prevent wasps from getting in.

Great Find, And Quality!

This was a great find. I was in need of replacing my outdoor dryer vent and all I kept finding was literal junk. I mean, it appears the standard these days is to use thin aluminum that can be crushed in one hand with a squeeze. Not this unit! A strong gauge, painted steel and a quality “trap door.” Totally worth the purchase price. Installed very easy too.

Last dryer vent I will ever need.

This vent is in two parts. Part One mounts on the wall and has the duct that fits into the duct or hose from the dryer. It becomes stationary. Part Two that has the flap that opens when the dryer is running and close when not sealing off the duct, slides up into the first part. You add the screws at this point. To clean the flap reverse the process. The flap will pop out for easy removal of lint. Over time the flap in the one I have had for a number of years would no longer seal off the duct. I ...

Just what I needed for my bathroom fan vent

Well made. Plastic internal flap to prevent backflow due to wind etc. Mine didn't come with a mesh pest cover for the opening but I made one in about 5 minutes with some left over wire mesh that I had. Easy to install. I needed a metal vent cap v plastic due to being on the edge of a fire hazard zone. This fit the bill very nicely.
