Fan with light kit

Would Not Recommend

The fan's light kit is poorly designed in that It forces the motor pull chain to pass through two guides in a lazy "s" pattern which impedes the ease of pull experienced with my previous Hunter fans. The globe obscures the sight of and restricts access to the direction switch. The fan by itself seems to be a good product.

This fan only lasted two years. Then the parts began to fail. Hunter customer service is obsessed with saving the company money, and warranties are not honored. I registered my fan but they had no record. Any favorable reviews are probably a few weeks after purchase. Trust me, in 2 years you will have this fan break down and enjoy a miserable customer service experience with Hunter. Horrible company now, despite its past reputation. Look elsewhere! Hunter will fail you.

Need remote

Would Recommend

Have this ceiling fan. But didnt come with remote. Said it was compadable with one. So if i get a remote do i have to wire it in? Or will it jus work if i get one without the module? I dont remember if that was wired in with the fan when i bought it and all i need is the remote or if i have to get the whole kit?.. not sure and what remote goes with this fan (the waldon)? Broken globe when we opened fan to install

We went to install the ceiling light/fan today and the box was unopened and found the globe to be smashed into a hundred pieces yet the box had no visible damage to indicate there had been an issue. Need to find a globe to replace on model # 53159 please!

Problems With Model 53161 Light Kit

I have spoken with two service rep. to discuss issues with light kit. Both advised me that they would E-Mail me the part that I needed & have not heard from them. I have 8 Hunter fans in my home & do not plan to buy any more until I can get good service. This fan is less than 14 months old & was manufactured 11/18.

Very bright and nice looking, but hums

Would Not Recommend

We purchased this fan, which was on clearance, to replace one with an annoyingly loud hum. It too has a noticeable hum, but it's low enough on the lower settings that we'll live with it. Pros: very bright with included bulbs, has the single large globe instead of multiple small ones; cons: hums, included bulbs aren't LED.

Easy install, nice looking fan!

Would Recommend

After moving rooms around, the former kids room ceiling room required some work as a multicolored fan was not the best choice for a family office. Got this piece and had it up and installed, fully balanced in under 20 minutes. Fan blades don't requrie any type of fancy connections, but are pressed over some rubber plugs that dampen any vibrations. Cannot say how nice it is to put in a quality product in such a short time.
