What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these ceiling fans for exceptional durability and timeless design. Most report units operating flawlessly for 25 to 50 years with minimal maintenance, often passing them between homes or replacing only parts. Reviewers consistently describe the fans as silent, smooth, and powerful, with excellent air movement and no wobbling. The cast iron housing and vintage aesthetic appeal across traditional and modern interiors. A few mention the high upfront cost, and some report isolated balancing issues, but most consider the long-term reliability justifies the investment.

Would RecommendHigh speed is medium speed for most other fans. The CFM for this fan is 7560 Cubic Feet Per Minute but doesn't move the air on high very fast. For such an expensive fan a weighted Hunter knob on the pull chain should be an automatic. Pull chain by itself is all that is included.

Only Fan You'll Ever Need
Would RecommendI recently got this fan about a week ago and I just love it so much. I have always liked the design of an Original, it never goes out of date. It's very quiet, moves a ton of air and you can just feel the quality built in the fan. I love that the blade arms are now cast iron to match the motor housing material. I also just really like this new motor tag. When I saw photos of this fan I wasn't too intrigued with the blade color but let me tell you that it looks better in person. I still think the...

Great fans
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a great fan and great quality. The fan motor is surrounded by cast iron, so it is very heavy and durable material to be outside. It took two people for us to install. The blades are a beautiful rustic color.

Quality product
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you have a Hunter fan you have a good one. We needed an outdoor fan for the gazebo. The old one gave out and there was no other though but the Hunter line. This a heavy fan you you will need another person to help install it.

Best Fans Ever
Would RecommendI installed 7 Hunter Originals in my home 20 years ago and they are still running smooth and quietly today. Living in Florida they are only stopped for cleaning and run 24/7/365. I check the oil every 5 years or so and have never had to add oil. They move more air than a typical fan. I can only keep them on low or medium speed (high speed blows everything off the tables and counters!). They are worth every penny.

Sublime
Would RecommendHunter never fails to meet my expectations. Replaced a Hunter fan I already had with this one, because this fan is just that solid. The fit and finish, performance, and aesthetic of this fan are nothing short of sublime. I have no doubt this unit will last me decades.
