What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these ceiling fans for exceptional longevity and superior build quality, with many citing decades of reliable operation—some fans running 25 to 50 years with minimal maintenance. Reviewers describe solidly constructed units with heavy cast iron housings that move air quietly and smoothly, often passed through multiple homes or still operating from original purchases in the 1980s. The substantial weight and craftsmanship enhance homes with timeless aesthetics. Most consider the initial investment justified by lifetime reliability, embracing the "buy once, cry once" philosophy. A few mention high costs and occasional part availability concerns, but these rarely diminish overall satisfaction.

Would RecommendThis fan has been running silent and true since the day we moved into our new custom home. I have other hunter fans inside and out and they have done the same. This Original is on a 48" down rod in our living room and everyone asks about it. I may have checked the oil once or twice. We are looking for a new light kit for it.

Great fan
Would RecommendI bought one of these in 1986 and just moved it to my third home. It is super quiet, well balanced and built for a lifetime. The only problem is the price has tripled since I bought it in '86.
Save your money
I purchased one about 6 years ago. It has a lifetime motor warranty; however for the motor to operate properly you must have a capacitor. Funny thing is Hunter no longer has this $15 dollar part. Now I have a $500.00 ceiling fan with a lifetime warranty that is just a discussion piece. Did the math and could buy three new over 18 years and would have been better off. Does anyone need a lifetime warranted motor to go with your capacitor?
Beat Ceiling fan ever
Would RecommendI put this in the master bedroom and it puts alot of air

The Best!
Would RecommendThe best ceiling fan out there. I have 2 that are 25+ years old. They are powerful and push a lot of air.
