Would RecommendThis mount seemed to work well for my install. I'm not sure if it meets outdoor install requirements though. I used this to mount a fan in my covered porch replacing a canned light. The brace was fairly easy to install. I wasn't able however to lock the box in on the rail, it has some slide, not sure if this is a feature or a bug.

Ceiling Fan Box with all Hardware
Would RecommendUsed this for my new patio and took advantage of using a new work fixture. Knockouts were perfect and expandable mounting posts worked as advertised. Came with all needed hardware (even the romex inserts. Much better than a traditional ceiling fan box

Would RecommendOverall a solid fan box, however, I have to return a defective one as the clamp screw holes were not threaded to the match the provided mounting screws.

New Construction - Ceiling Fan Bracket
Would RecommendThis is perfect for installing a ceiling fan for new installs only. This kit contains the bracket and gang box needed for installation and mounts between the floor joist. Not recommended for existing finished ceilings are you will need to be able to screw this bracket into the floor joists to be used.
