Worked great for low voltage floor application
Would RecommendI used this box to put a ethernet jack in the floor of my office. The depth of my floor was deeper than what the low-voltage old work boxes support. I liked this metal box because it wasn’t too deep and I was able to use the ears to drive wood screws into the floor underneath the carpet.

Works well for old work
It works perfect for an old work retro box as not sure why I'd ever use it for new work. Enough depth for dimmers, etc

Great for retro-fit (Old Work)
Would RecommendWell made and great concept. We always called these “old work” boxes as they are designed to be cut into an existing walls (note the tabs on top and bottom). Great way to modify existing structures. These will need a set of holding straps if used as a retrofit.
