Helpful on doors & antiques instead of refinishing

Excellent at making scratches and dings in my home less perceptible. I used this on the inside of my front door and back door that had some scratches from over the years. I no longer see the scratches in the doors and around the glass panes, which is great! Excellent Restore-A-Finish

I preserve a lot of antiques and Howard’s restore a finish is such a great product that it’s become a big part of my restoration process.

Great if you don't want to sand and stain

Here's a shocker...I didn't re-stain this piece! I took a very light grain sander to the top to remove some of the paint flecks and filler from the cracks (200 grit). It's essentially a furniture polish that brings back the original finish. For some of the tougher spots I used a very fine steel wool and put the product directly on the steel wool and then lightly rubbed it into the areas. Buy a much darker stain than you think you need

Easy to use but I felt the stain wasn’t as deep as I wanted. It looked 3 or 4 shades lighter than on the box.

Best for light repairs

Worked well to refresh scratches and dull spots. The color looks decent, though it failed to fully revitalize extremely old, discolored wood.

Nice for small jobs.

I was surprised what a nice job this product did. It’s not like sanding and refinishing but it’s nice for furniture that doesn’t need a lot done to it.
