Strong hold once installed, but the material makes installation difficult. The top section, where you insert the Allen wrench, easily crumbles with any resistance. I broke close to half of the pieces I used. The broken ones still worked, but I had to cut & file the jagged edges so they were flush.

But the packaging is totally bereft of instructions with no mention of the appropriate drill size to insert the insert nut, and no mention of the size of allen wrench you need to use to insert it. There is nothing on the manufacturer's website either. Totally unsatisfactory. The metal used to make the insert nut is weak and the allen wrench can easily break the nuts hexagonal recess, ma...

Would Not RecommendThese are not steel, but just cast zinc. I had 2 of them break trying to drive them in to particle board. I got a magnet and tested it, and guess what? NOT MAGNETIC AT ALL! These are cast pot metal and the description is a lie. Go ahead, check it with a magnet. Later I will check the melting temperature to verify.
