Ratings & Reviews for Hillman #5 x 1/2-in Bronze Interior Cabinet screws 50 -Per Box
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The screws generally perform well for various projects, with many customers praising the attractive brass finish and ease of installation. However, some users reported issues with the screws being soft and prone to breaking or stripping, especially when using power tools. It is recommended to pre-drill pilot holes and use hand tools to avoid these problems. The quality and performance may be variable, so testing a few screws on scrap material is advisable before committing them to a project.

Brass screws
Would RecommendGood product but would advise anyone using to use a square head driver instead of #2 phillips. Even with predrilling the head is subject to stripping out if putting into anything except very soft wood.

brass screws
Would Not RecommendTerrible screws! The metal is very soft and they quickly strip out the heads and/or break when driving into wood. These look nice, but exterior grade or drywall grade screws are much better.

Remember brass is soft
Would Not RecommendOne thing I forgot before buying this is that brass is very maleable. Please do your research if you are working with hard wood or you will end up with sheared off heads and screws stuck in your project.
