Ratings & Reviews for Hillman 0.5-in White Steel Swag hook 2 -Pack

Plant first

I needed to expand places for my indoor plants. This hook was easy to assemble.

Basic Swag Hooks

They work. Just installed a few days ago and to early to tell. Easy pick up in locker. Price is good and color on swag is good.

Cheap cheap cheap

Had this holding a small dining room swag lamp. Nowhere near the 30lb rating. This morning the tip broke off and the lamp fell. Thankfully the electrical connection end held all the weight so it didn't crash to the table or floor. These hooks are super flimsy...use with caution. This hook was only up 3 years.

Careful when twisting...

I used this to hang a rope light from the ceiling. Not that heavy and perfect. When I was twisting on, I was doing so from the middle/tip of the hook with not that much force and the tip broke clean off. Ok tried on second one. Same. Brought back and exchanged for same set. This time I twisted onto the screw holding it from very top of base. So far the tip hasn't broken with the heavy rope light, and I like how it looks so I wanted to keep the hook! But I'm afraid to hang my 10lb ceramic plant h...

They work

These were considerably cheaper, looked more durable, and less complex than the other drywall ceiling/wall hooks my local Lowe's had in stock. The other one they had for more money used a plastic anchor. The only downsides compared to the other option they had is the packaging/instructions do not tell you how much weight they can handle and you have to drill a slightly larger hole (over 1/4"...might have been closer to 1/2"). The style is ugly to me, but it's a small ceiling hook so who's going ...

2 pak swag hooks white

Was looking for silver ones but only had white and gold in hardware section. After purchase notices silver ones in lightning department. All colors should be in hardware section. During installation I noticed quality was not as superior as i twisted in place the hook BENT out of shape. Metal is poor quality. Also shopping in Home Depot they were 50 cents cheaper.

I am not using it for a swag hook. I will be putting outside on the porch to hold up a wind chime. So I am hoping it will work. This was the only thing I could find to do the job.

perfect ornate little detail

Did't want to use an ugly plain hook to hang a basket of beautiful flowers on the front porch. I found these and had colors to choose from too. The hook made the perfect little ornate detail and I was able to get the flowers and the hooks all at Lowes.
