Hold-Down Clips Just Don't Work
Would Not RecommendSeveral years ago I installed several of the 4" version of this can and they worked very well. I recently purchased this 6" version and I'm very disappointed. As many others have reported, the 4 spring-like clips do not effectively hold the can up against the ceiling drywall. I had to glue a pair of wooden blocks above the drywall, and use screws to attach the can to those blocks while holding the can up with pressure, in order for the flange of the can to stay up against the drywall.
