Insulation contact (IC) rated, recessed housing can touch and be covered with insulation
Wet location approved for safe use when used with select recessed lights
Compatible with a wide variety of 6 in recessed lights but is best with HALO 426, 420, 353, 310, 301, 172, 78, 71, 70 and 30 series models
Compatible with a wide variety of 6 in LED retrofit recessed light trims but is best with HALO quality RL, RA, SLD, LT, SMD and ML series models
For use with 120-volt incandescent bulbs/lamps (not included, sold separately)
This recessed housing is not Air-tite rated
3 Quick Connect™ connectors eliminate need for separate wire nuts; 4 remodel springs secure housing and accommodates 1/2 in and 5/8 in ceiling
Built-in thermal protector provides protection against misuse of insulation materials and improper/over lamping

Hold-Down Clips Just Don't Work
Several years ago I installed several of the 4" version of this can and they worked very well. I recently purchased this 6" version and I'm very disappointed. As many others have reported, the 4 spring-like clips do not effectively hold the can up against the ceiling drywall. I had to glue a pair of wooden blocks above the drywall, and use screws to attach the can to those blocks while holding the can up with pressure, in order for the flange of the can to stay up against the drywall. A skilled installer should not have to lose hourly time trying to get defective clips to work. Returned two cases at a personal cost of time and labor.
