Would RecommendThese screws SUCK 2x materials together like a vacuum! The upper non-threaded portion is perfect for sucking two 2x4s together. Before I got these, I was using some older screws that were threaded most of the way up to the head. Even with predrilling, those old screws just WOULD NOT pull the 2-by's together tightly. I was glueing and screwing, but the glue won't bond well if the boards aren't squeezed together tightly, and the old screws just wouldn't do it. I ended up using a sledgehammer ...

Would RecommendI have only bought and used GRK screws for projects of any size, with multiple DIY projects. They are great screws and easy to use with the screw tip, compared to a traditional Phillips head. I used it on a shed door build to hold some 2x4s into T11 and trim, strong hold.
