Start with these and do it right the first time
Would RecommendAbsolutely reliable starting, driving, and backing out. I hired a contractor to resurface my deck and he used a cheaper competitor’s product. Those rascals will strip and break off. And the ones that don’t break have too much unthreaded shank. I have to start backing them out with a claw hammer. I am redoing about 40 percent of his fasteners and these are perfect. I also predict the finish will last much longer than the cheaper painted product.

Can’t beat these
The chiseled tap helps getting them started and they go in smoothly after that. Just have to back off when you reach the end as they will burrow deep into the immediate surface. Not usually any problem with them countersinking in other words.
