What Customers Are Saying
The insulation provides excellent thermal performance and coverage, leading to improved home comfort and reduced heating/cooling costs. It is easy to install, though proper safety equipment is essential due to the dusty nature of the product. The free rental of the blower machine is a major benefit, though the quality can vary. The total project cost can add up quickly depending on the home size, and buying slightly more than recommended is advised to ensure full coverage. Overall, the insulation is an effective and affordable way to improve home energy efficiency.

Would RecommendThe insulation is ok, but the green fiber rental machine does not apply insulation fast enough. The diameter of the hose is only 2”, should be a 4” hose and a larger capacity machine. It took all day, 10 hours + to blow 1344 sq. ft. @ 16”

I choose this over rolled insulation bats because I thought it would save time and because it had a better environmental profile. I used 24 bags for an area a bit smaller than 700 sq ft over some inadequate insulation from the 1970s construction. The ease of use was the big problem for me. The machine for it only went at a rate of about 4 bags an hour. So it was a longer day than I expected. Also the product was so dusty it was extremely difficult to see what you were doing and I can't imagine d...
Good product for the price
Would RecommendI am no expert but I liked that this was recycled material. It seemed easy enough to break up. Maybe a little too easy? We did seem to lose a fair amount to crumbling to the ground and then it was too frágil to pick up to use. So I suppose if there were a comparable priced product that was easier to load pieces without them crumbling before we could get them in the machine, that would be ideal. But again, I’m a lay person so I might be describing a product that doesn’t exist lol.

Estimate chart works
Would RecommendI used the estimate chart to determine the number of bales I would need. It worked out perfectly.
Blow in insulation
Would Not RecommendI was disappointed in this product and the machine used to blow the product in place. The machine was very difficult to use and fed the insulation very slow. It would continually plug and had to be cleared. The store only had "1" machine so it couldn't be replaced. The insulation material contributed to machine problems because the ground up plastic shopping bags in the insulation would collect in the bottom of the machine and had to be cleared. I would not recommend this "do it yourself" pr...
