Double check seals on boxed items, compare s/n's.
Would RecommendWhen I installed this thermostat it would not connect to my wifi. When I contacted the manufacturer to troubleshoot the problem I found out after giving them the serial number that my item was off warranty. I compared the s/n of the t-stat to the s/n on the box. They did not match. Apparently the t-stat got switched with a used malfunctioning t-stat either at the store or through a return procedure. The mfr sent me a replacement and said they would investigate. The replacement ts working well. ...
