Would RecommendMounting is easy and flexible, especially with steel rain gutters, using the magnet mount. Set up is quick and easy. Really like making video clips, identifying faces and being able to download videos. It's wonderful to have a sense of what's happening around our home. Nest Camera
Would RecommendThe outdoor nest cameras were easy to setup and install. They have a very little footprint on mounting them. There are many options for outdoor protection. I was really interested in getting the IQ versions and the doorbell, but the IQ’s are sold out wherever. Perhaps later on I’ll check into getting them.

Great hardware, mediocre software
Would RecommendI have installed multiple outdoor and indoor cameras including the Nest IQ. The cameras are a breeze to install and adding them to your network and your profile is a breeze utilizing the QR code unique to each camera. I love the entire set up and installation process. The software however has a lot to be desired. While it is easy to scrub through video footage, the app constantly loses connection requiring you to “try again“. This problem plagues live video as well as prior footage. Lost conn...

Would RecommendWe had a few cameras and lights installed for security. This system is convenient to use for the most part. We are finding the doorbell going "off line" at times but it comes back on just as mysteriously. It's an adjustment to get used to all the beeping on the phone but it seems to be getting better. Doorbell has limits in adjustments up and down but we're mostly covered.

Would RecommendI choose Nest Cam to keep everything under the Nest app and Nest Aware cloud with Nest hello and door lock. Pros: Able to select zones for notifications and notifications types. Well guided installation and configuration. Easy review of past events. Cons: Not enough definition for details half way the picture frame. Electrical hard wiring required.

Would RecommendEasy set up and installation. Biggest problem is where you can install the camera because it has to be close to the router. Had to install in places I was not planning on. Good quality picture. Camera does go offline once in awhile due to being right on the range edge for WiFi.
