not what I need, I guess

Described as the most durable of your 600, 700, and 800 series sealers, I had high hopes. I've learned that not all penetrating sealers enhance color, and I'm convinced there is no food-safe penetrating sealer that will stand up to my test: a drop of lemon juice sitting on it for a day. It burns right through, and "bleaches" out any color. But if you just want to repel water and other milder things, this should do just fine .. not sure how long.

I applied the product per the directions. However, it doesn’t really seem to protect against anything. No matter what drops on the counter, there will be a stain. I’m disappointed since now I’ll have to find a different product and redo my countertops.

Made terrazzo-looking concrete countertops with white cement and dark rock. This method requires grinding and polishing. I contacted Ghostshield and spoke with a representative that was very helpful and recommended 2 applications of the 880 sealer. Very easy to apply

This product rolls on very easily. It did not change the appearance of my 6-week-old brown concrete countertops. It was my understanding that the coverage for 2 coats would be 25 sq ft per bottle so I bought 3 bottles to do 2 coats on 80 sq ft. I was able to generously cover 80 sq ft with 1 bottle. Afterward, I waxed the countertops and that made a more noticeable change in the appearance. I wish the wax was not so expensive so I could apply it more frequently.

Fantastic products!

Compared to other concrete countertop sealers I have used in my almost fifty years of construction, I would have to rate Ghostshield 880 at the top of the competition. I applied easily, wasn't gummy or sticky like other products I have used, no noxious odors, penetrated well took the second coat easily and allowed me to apply the countertop wax the next day. Outdoor kitchen

The Ghost Shield product worked as advertised. At first with a product you’ve never used, you are skeptical. I did a lot of research before purchasing this product. It came and I followed the directions. I used it on our concrete countertop on our outdoor kitchen island/bar. It heads up water and has stood up to dropped food on it. I highly recommend this product.

Used because we wanted to keep the natural look

We decided to use the Countertop 880 over the Polyaspartic 745 because we are not fans of the gloss finish. We redid our kitchen in the farmhouse style and wanted a product that would keep the rustic, raw, natural look. Very pleased with this product

Concrete counters were installed and "sealed" by the installer. Concrete is extremely porous and obviously it wasn't sealed properly, so water left on the counter for more than a second absorbed leaving dark marks. I knew it'd be bad if I spilled wine or grease, so I sealed it again with the Countertop 880. I read this product was better than the "other" stuff.  Put three coats on wet-one-wet 45 sq ft of concrete (probably overkill) and the counters now repel everything. Works ridiculously well ...

880 vs. 745

In trying to decide between the Polyaspartic 745 high gloss or the Countertop 880 natural we opted for the 880. Just because the 745 darkens the counters and gives an artificial plastic look. We understood the limitations of the sealer and as long as you go into it know it is not a miracle solution and there is some maintenance require to keep the countertops look good and stain resistant that you will not be disappointed. Finish with the wax

I had new concrete countertops installed and they absorbed anything and everything. As soon as water hit them they would immediately darked. I applied it on my own and if I can do it you can do it too. It was an easy project for a DIY-er like me. You need to have realistic expectations

Easy to apply and seems to be very effective in terms of a penetrating concrete countertop sealer. I put on three coats wet-on-wet and it water beads beautifully. A natural finish is left. You can't expect to leave a red wine spill on the counter over night and come back the next morning and wipe it up without staining. You need to have realistic expectations. If you want a product that is completely impervious use their 745 product.

Did not change color of white concrete countertops

Used this on my white concrete counter tops. Excellent product. Did not change the color of the concrete. Easy and quick to apply. Great results.

Very good product

Very good product. Now when I spill liquid on my new concrete counter tops it just beads up and doesn't penetrate. It's so much easier to keep it looking clean and it even looks shiny if you use the Countertop Wax too. The sealant that was used prior (when in was newly installed) didn't allow spills to bead up. They would penetrate and leave a dark stain. This Countertop 880 is really great and easy to use. Be careful to cover all concrete with the sealant. Hope this was helpful.

Worked as advertised

Great stuff! Worked as advertised. I did a new concrete countertop with great success. Application: Applied both coats wet-on-wet as recommended applied with a small roller. It worked great. No change in color at all.

Odor free when dried

I used this on an outside concerte bar I built. Sealer went on easily with a small roller. I put a total of three coats wet-on-wet-on-wet. It did not change the color of the countertop whatsoever. I used once it dried. Red wine was spilled on it at our first use of it. It didn’t stain. I will probably reseal every spring. Nice product. No offensive smell when applying. Odor free when dry.

How long is TBD

Water beads up, how long is TBD. Clean the surface first.
