Ratings & Reviews for GenTent Universal Kit (Extreme, Grey) for Open Frame Generators Generator cover

Highly recommend - perfect accessory!

Highly recommend this accessory as well as the clear apron and storage bag. We recently had an extended period of time where we lost power, and the Gentent was a total lifesaver. I wish I had found this sooner. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone with an open-frame generator!

Great cover

Took about 20 minutes to set up. Looks like it will protect it when needed.

Perfect fit

Fits perfectly for my Durostar 13k watt generator. It’s a thick material, not like a thin camping tent material which makes me really think it will hold up in the elements. Very easy to set up and the brackets you attach to the generator are solid and don’t seem flimsy or cheap. I’m very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. Northeast Ohio

Easy assembly!

Product was easy to assemble. Online tutorials answered all of my questions. GenTent is fully assembled and ready to protect my generator during the next power outage. Not only does it protect my generator it protects my family. GenTent allows me to position the generator at a safe distance from my home.

Great deal! Great buy!

Great deal! great buy! I love it. It protects my new BE Generator, like it's suppose to. Great quality material also.

Quick install, durable cover

Took about ten minutes to install and was pretty self explanatory. Made it through two major thunderstorms with heavy wind and rain already with no issue

Great quality

Bought my Westinghouse generator finally and needed a weatherproof cover that would hold up to severe weather conditions. This GenTent is just what I needed and fit perfectly

Christmas in July

My son bought a portable generator, so I bought him a GenTent to go along with it. He was surprised and very happy to get this.

Excellent Quality

Great fit and finish. Fits my Champion 11,000W Inverter perfectly!

Quality Generator Cover

I don’t mind spending a little extra money for a quality product, which was evident when I put it together today.

Now, I'm *really* ready...

I thought I was fully prepared for an extended power-outage after I bought my generator. However, after a recent outage that lasted several days, I got tired of maneuvering the generator around in the garage door opening to keep it out of the rain - extra hassle, extra noise... After reading some reviews, I purchased the GenTent Extreme. I installed the Universal Clamp kit easily, and really appreciate the way the arms swing out of the way for storage. Now, I will be able to place my genera...

After a CAT 5 Super Typhoon (Hurricane)

Super Typhoon Bavi CAT5 (Hurrucaine) came thru our island. I don’t anticipate having power anytime soon and the winds are quite strong with bad weather. As we are in a Super El Niño year we anticipate more storms. Hope this tent cover can hold up with our island heat and weather. We shall see. So far so good.

Seemed gimmicky at first

Bought about a year and a half ago, thinking I was a bit gimmicky but would give it a try anyway. Haven’t actually had to use it yet. The one time during this past winter in Ohio that I thought I would need it, it worked as advertised. Rain snow slid right off instead of sticking and piling up. The only problem is that two of the plastic mounting clamps snapped after being exposed to sun freezing temps for 8+ hours. After contacting support and being told it was my fault, they did even...

Great product for protecting generator

Suprisingly easy to assemble and great fit. Easy access for filling and the controll panel. Quality components as well.

Great Fit And Protection

We now have all three of our portable generators covered. I have used GenTents for over four years and the new, universal clamp kit is a game changer. They grip in all kinds of weather and are easy to adjust, if needed.
