My wife and I bought our Generac about 4 months ago due to all the power outages happening . I am so glad we did it has been the best investment for us to help power the house when the electricity goes off

Works fine, but super-loud

In reality, I only used this for about 20 minutes when the power came back on. This replaces a very old generator that had half the power. Aside from it working well, I can certainly say this generator is deafeningly-loud. Keeping it outside means you typically won't be bothered by it, but it makes you wonder if they could have improved the muffler.

Piece of mind

I bought the generator a couple of months ago to prepare for any power outage and haven’t had to use it yet. It’s great knowing we are prepared for an issue that WILL occur.

Bad Features I am an Electrical Contractor

I had Purchased This Unit From CED in Hudson on May 14th 2025. Brought it home Installed proper gas and oil Tried to start it it started for a few seconds so I called Generac They told me to take it to be serviced at MacDaddy's Small engine repair in Land O lakes. They still have it there, It had faulty Parts. Your Company would not replace it.

I bought this about 2 months ago it has 188hrs on it a d it is seized up.

Terrible services for defective products

Unit was defected. No output power. None of authorized shop recommend can fix it. Could not refund to due to crazy FleetFarm policy. Running around for 2 weeks trying to get it fix. Loss $20 to drain gas not cover by warranty. Terrible experience. Don't recommend it.

Poor Warranty Assistance

Purchased this portable generator, had a problem with it after 15 min. of running.. Called for assistance and No One would come to my house to repair it. They only would come if it was a standby generator. I like Generac Products but my was 450 pounds and I could not service it myself. Plus it was under warranty.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the GP9500 Tri Fuel Generator. This purchase will insure emergency power when the need presents itself.

Great Features

I bought the GP8000E to replace my Honda 7000 that was over 25 years old. The setup was relatively straight forward except for attaching the battery cables. When I unclipped the zip tie holding the battery leads for shipping, I didnt notice that the power connector for the starter had become disconnected, probably when I cut the zip tie. Reliable when needed!

Great product! However, I really wish that Generac would get another bank besides Synchrony for their customers to finance with.

Great generator .

I didn’t use yet , but I test it monthly, the CO2 sensor works perfect. Nice gas capacity and the power supplied looks really stable. Extremely easy to move.

Great, dependable product

Purchased to replace a 12 year old Generac 6500 that I use for emergency power. As I live along the Gulf Coast it doesn’t take a hurricane for us to loose power. Ran 8 days on generator power Zeta and the ol’ Generac didn’t miss a beat. After quick final assembly, oil and fuel this new unit fired up on the second pull. Looking forward to not having to concern myself about power loss for another 13 years!
