Quiet, small footprint, easy starting.

I got the Generac IQ3500 to replace a much cheaper, much larger, very much louder generator. The Generac doesn't have as much power, but is so much better in the size and noise areas. I had never really used our old generator and I gave it to my son who used it to build a shed on his property. It failed after a few hours, It was cheap, but had no reliability. Flawed Product

I purchased this unit 6 months ago from menards.com. Overall, this seems to be a good generator with the features necessary to support sensitive electronics and it is very quiet. However, it has some production flaws. The first thing I noticed is that the exhaust pipe does not line up with the grill that covers it. Add more trouble with this product right out of the box

It's a big generator a heavy generator and a very very noisy generator. We've had trouble from day one we've had to replace the starter once and after that and has run rough the Generac dealership worked on it and said it was something to do with the engine. Great generator

Bought for backup when camping. Have had to use it this past year and it was great.very quiet! Only con is that it doesnt like it when refrigerator and ac are on together. Says overload. Simple fix... put refrigerator on gas and everything else runs fine. Recommended to a friend and he loves it as well.

Bought it for camping

This is an amazing generator and so quiet even running it at night in a silent forest we cannot hear it in the camper. The only change I would like to see is possibly wheels it is right on the threshold of needing two people to move it around.

I selected the iQ3500 as it has high power output, good efficiency (for a relatively long run time) and operates quietly. The operator's manual is very clear and it only took a few minutes to hook up the battery and fill the unit with oil. Good access is provided to reach the maintenance points. I ordered the generator on line. After receiving the generator, I followed the directions of setting up and preparing the generator for use. The unit started but did not produce any electricity. I called for Generac for assistance and was offered either return or bring it to a service store. The was the best option for me. Blown away by the IQ3500. Quiet and Powerful

We have been using this Generac IQ3500 for over 300 hours now without issues. We camp on our houseboat and instead of using the onboard generator that uses 1.6 Gal/Hr, we have a 30A twist lock into the boat to run all of the 110v. It generally runs 12-16 hours depending on load. Its super quiet in Eco mode and isn't very loud running full open. Quiet, reliable and excellent product. Price and performance is excellent. Fuel economy is a must and very quiet. It is more quiet than Honda.

Excellent portable generator

After months of extensive research, I chose the Generac IQ3500 as a home back power source. All of the pre-work paid off. This unit is very well built, runs extremely well, and is unbelievably quiet. Could not be more pleased with this generator. Well done Generac.

Super Quiet and Starts Easy

This IQ3500 is super quiet and starts very easily. After it sat for a week or so i thought I would try the pull start, 1 pull and started right up. If you are not running at full load all the time you will hardly know it's running.

Hard ramp up, but after that a great unit !

First day I got it was really hard to get it working, 5 attempts or more every time I wanted to start the Inverter, the second day was a little bit easier. Its been in use for 4 days now, starting is no longer a problem, I can get it running every time at the first try. Don´t know if it was part of the break in period or what. Unit is super capable, I can run an electric grill and a Makita saw at the same time with no trouble. Fuel efficiency is great on econo mode. The only down...

Unbelievably Quiet!

I bought this generator to run my Ice House/Camper. All of the 2000 units were not powerful enough to run my AC Unit. This unit has been great, I was able to run the AC, Refrigerator, TV, DVD, Lights, and Coffee maker all at the same time. The IQ3500 is also the quietest unit I have seen, it is as quiet as the 2000 watt units. I don't like giving 5's but a 4 ("Good") didn't seem like enough. 4.5 is where I'd like to be.
