The generator works, the frame is rusting

I purchased a Generac generator immediately after a storm knocked out power, intending to connect it to my home for continuous, dependable use. While the generator initially performed well — powering my home and later my step‑daughter’s — the product’s quality issues became apparent almost immediately. The handle was not welded at all and broke during the very first use. The frame welds are so poorly executed that the unit began rusting within a week, which is unacceptable for a brand‑new gener...

Absolute Junk. I thought Generac was a brand you can depend on. I lost my electric and needed a generator. I purchased a Generac and took it home. Filled w/ oil and gas. Read the manual and followed the steps to start. Started right up only to stop about a minute later. Restarted and again quick after about a minute. Very frustrated! I have 2 refrigerators and a full-size freezer I needed to keep running. Generac failed me.

GENERAC IS LOSING IT'S QUALITY

I just purchased (7/1/16) and had delivered, the Generac G0090010 generator with duel fuel -- gas & propane.. The chain attached to the gas cap and the gas tank was broken when I first opended the cap. One of the plastic boot terminal covers (black-negative), was completely missing. Also doesn't seem to run nearly as well on propane than gas - fluctuations in power. The cherry on the cake is that Lowe's has a lousy 48 hour return policy si i missed out on returning it -- but then again, how am I...

Excellent generator

I bought this on day 5 of a 10 day power outage due to ice storm Fern. I have an all electric home and this generator brought lights, heat and power for everything else during some very trying times. I had it out of the box and running in less than ten minutes and had no issues with it running 5 days straight.
