We purchased this generator 1 week ago when there was a severe weather event in our area. It didn't run a full 7 days. Woke up in the middle of the night to no power went out to check the generator and all of the oil was out of it on the ground and we later found that the engine had cracked. Generac was not at all helpful but Lowe's was. Lowe's gets a rating of 15 out of 10 and Generac is 0 out of 10.

Works Great - Emergency Shipment

I debated for years about buying a generator. Power outages don't happen often where I live, but they happen just enough to make you think about having one. Never again

I will never own another generac anything. Lost power for about 7 hours now. Came home wired it to my panel, ran for 4 hours and now nothing. Only owned it for a year and if that’s all you get from it for $1000 it’s 100% not worth it. What a joke of a company

This was purchased due to power outages. The assembly went well but it was tricky for this 78 year old to maneuver the weight. I was most impressed by the staff guy at the store who loaded it into the back of my vehicle without scratching anything. We haven’t been able to actually use it yet. The power has not been interrupted since assembly and start up. I hope we never need it!

Floor install

Ali did a great job on the floor and listened to my concerns. The sales people were extremely vague with install instructions. The price was fair. And Ali took away all the scrap flooring.

The generator works, the frame is rusting

I purchased a Generac generator immediately after a storm knocked out power, intending to connect it to my home for continuous, dependable use. While the generator initially performed well — powering my home and later my step‑daughter’s — the product’s quality issues became apparent almost immediately. Absolute Junk. I thought Generac was a brand you can depend on. I lost my electric and needed a generator. I purchased a Generac and took it home. Filled w/ oil and gas. Read the manual and followed the steps to start. Started right up only to stop about a minute later. Restarted and again quick after about a minute. Very frustrated! I have 2 refrigerators and a full-size freezer I needed to keep running. Generac failed me.
