GE Slimline Microwave

I love this slimline microwave. It has many preset options and takes up less room. It's sharp looking and since it has a smaller footprint my cabinet over the microwave could have an additional shelf. This does what I need it to do.

Slim Design

Slim design was our target. The door is long and you need to be aware when opening. The buttons do not light up for ease of use. Otherwise it fits our need.

Ventilation

The ventilation is about a zero. I have it vented to the outside and food smells fill the house for everything that takes more than 5 minutes to cook. The timing of the presets for cooking is too long/powerful and same with the sensors. Looks nice but no I do not recommend.

Great features

This was such a great find because there wasn’t enough clearance from stove top to microwave. This shorter version was perfect for that issue. It looks great with our remodeled kurchen. It was a great idea!

Nice microwave

The microwave itself it great, no issues. I was unaware that it had a large fan unit in the back of the microwave itself; so when we installed it, it stuck out about 2-3 inches further than a standard microwave. That’s my fault, I should have paid attention to the measurements- we had a mounted one prior to that so I assumed they would be the same as far as how far they stuck out from the wall.

1.3 Cu Ft

This 1.2 cu ft mirco petformance works well. I like the slim profile. One issue is the controls do not light up. The installation went well.

Beautiful nice design. And it fits specs from 1990

I love it. We had to find a microwave to replace our 35 year old whirlpool. It served us well! This was tge only one in our price range that would fit the old specs. Its 6" shorter and there is a gap in the kitchen tile we have to fill, but it is beautiful. It works well. Only complaint I have is there is no manual included with the new unit. Im having to search online to find out the special features this model has. Went in fast. Looks nice in my tiny kitchen!

Perfect streamlined size

The microwave works great and features are perfect for us, the streamline size makes our kitchen look bigger. Our only issue is the microwave is louder than our old one. We had the installer come back to see if something was loose causing a vibration noise. he check all the connections and said it's the microwave. It is louder than expected. Not a deal breaker but unexpected

Poorly manufactured

The front of the door is peeling away after 4 months.

Can't read the buttons unless room is bright. I assumed they were lit!! Useless Also unit is huge. I assumed low profile

Low Profile Microwave

The low profile is exactly what we needed. The regular over the range microwaves are too tall for our space. This firs perfectly and looks sleek.

Sleek

Everyone who has seen our new microwave calls it, "sleek". There is little reason to purchase a standard-sized microwave when this low-profile microwave can accommodate everything we cook or reheat. Low-profile saves us cabinet space. The controls are low across the bottom so was can easily reach to operate.
