Great microwave/convection for the price

This microwave replaced our old GE Profile Advantium. The reheating of items is great. It took a bit getting used to as the features are different as well as in a different location on the panel than the ones that the previous microwave had. I do wish it had the additional features like reheating pizza slices, popcorn, etc. The size of the oven is a good size. Installation was simple and quick.

Overall

Overall I'm happy with the product. The only thing I'm not 100% satisfied with is the Air Fryer function. In using this function I have noticed it takes much longer than a regular air fryer & doesn't crisp food as well.

Dead on Arrival

We had our GE Microwave Model PVM9179SR1SS yesterday and it was dead on arrival. I guess there isn't much to say but not happy that we have a higher end model that we spent a lot of money and it doesn't work. I don't know what to do. Stay with GE or go to a competitor?

Need Bisque back!

This replaces a GE microwave/convection oven that lasted close to 25 years in my home with daily use. I hope this new one lives up to the old! My only reason for not giving 5 stars was color. My kitchen suite was all in Bisque. I know, no one make Bisque anymore. My best second choice was the lightest stainless I could find and it's such an energy drain as a color. Looks good..but noisy

This my second GE Profile convection microwave oven. All good so far, but there are a two issues that keep it from 5star rating. First and most annoying is the loud ventilation fan in any setting especially on low setting. It has a howl noise that is annoying. Secondly, the clock display cannot be dimmed and is too bright.

Could be better

Time Light on top is bight; hard on eyes. Rotating 'Plate' is poorly designed; hard to put into place. The old model we had a groove and kept it in stationary position while rotating. This tends to wobble around, and lose its position! Labels on control panel hard to read (small).

Great microwave and versatile

Excellent large capacity unit and many nice features.

Turning Knob

The KNOB is the only thing I dont like. I have not other features on the microwave at this time.

Surface light

We just got our microwave, to early to judge. You are asking this way to soon! So far all we have used the microwave for is warming food. For sure on my wish list would be that the surface light would have soft white light. I did some reading on the subject, quite a few people feel the same. This dates back quite a ways. no owner's manual

I bought the pvm9179srss microwave & wish to finish installing it but need the owner's manual to install a filter & have been told it doesn't come with an owner's manual. Have been trying to get copy of owner's manual about half the day now with no luck. Please help!

Cooking all the meals!

Our new microwave does ALL the things. My favorite features are for sure the air fryer oven mode and the convection bake capabilities. We installed ours in an RV and it makes simple meals absolutely so easy!

Melted Itself

I've never even considered leaving a review for a microwave but this thing is awful. I could go into a long diatribe about how this thing doesn't cook anything well on the bake settings, it won't brown a pizza even if you give it a month. We had ours for exactly 3 weeks before I tried to use the convec bake option and the microwave MELTED ITSELF. Loving having a 2nd oven option

So far, so good. No complaints. The oven doesn't seem as hot as my 'regular' oven but I'm still learning how to use it.

Doesn't operate as stated in directions

Just got this microwave. It has a nice large capacity, seems to work great. However, it does not allow me to set a temperature for air fry. I select manual, and then it takes me directly to setting the cooking time, never the temperature (as the directions state it should). It was bought hoping to be able to get rid of our air fryer.
