Display lacks essencial information

I regret to realize that the new device has a display lacking the absolute essential information about power level and if the time indicated is the first one or the second one. We use that feature all the time: Run for N-minutes on 10, continue 1-2 minutes on level 0. In this device there is no way to display these details. I consider this a bad design. Updated to our new GE Profile Microwave

We are extremely happy with our latest kitchen addition with our new GE Profile Over-The-Range Microwave that replaced our old & battle tested GE Microwave. The door feels very solid and the installation of the unit was quick and easy, also feeling very solid with zero "wiggle" when opening. An over all great microwave/ oven

Sleek look. I like that it’s not connected to WiFi in case of connection outages I can still use it. Easy to use functions. I love the option to use the oven for baking as well. I had the older version of this model for 19 years!

Profile Microwave Review

We had a previous Advantium Profile microwave for 18 years and it finally gave out. It was the perfect appliance in my opinion. The new Profile is not as functionally good as previous unit. I really liked the old dial and surrounding buttons on the old one. The new unit is also way more noisy. I am not satisfied with the current unit noise level when on high level. I will be calling for GE service to see if this unit is defective.

My older Convect Over-the-Range MW Oven Controls

My older Maytag Convection Over-the-Range MW Oven Controls were much easier to understand. I don't like the Dial Control feature.

Good, but...

I have it only a few days. So far seems to work ok except for convective baking - does not keep temperatur and the two cakes I tried so far were ruined. Will try again, perhaps it was just a fluke.

Longevity

This is the third of this specific bottle microwave that I have owned. The first one lasted over 10 years. The second one lasted less than two years. Hopefully, the third one that I just had installed will last as long as the first one. Time will tell.

Just what the Dr ordered.

This unit does not operate on the same wattage as my previous Profile unit. My older one was 20 years old & used 1,000 watts. This new one is operating on 900 watts. It does make a difference.

Old dog, new tricks

I am 75 and didn't know if I would like this microwave, but everything on it is easy to figure out! Some people don't like the dial, but I do, it is much easier than punching in numbers but I sometimes forget to push it to set the numbers. My old one was just heat or reheat, I'm still learning how to use it and I'll write later about the convection and air fry options when I get to use them more.

Disappointed

I wish we had purchased a simple microwave instead of one with air fryer option. The book that came with the microwave has minimal info about use of the air fryer option! The only fresh vegetable air fryer recipe is for wedge potatoes! The potatoes were done but didn’t even have brown edges. I have guessed in air frying fresh broccoli, cauliflower etc. Will be using my oven from now on. No instruction for reheating pizza etc. I guess it just trial and error. Unless I am losing it, the description was changed on this item since I purchased it. I thoroughly reviewed the description on this item prior to purchasing to ensure this microwave had an air fryer. No Backlight, hard to read control panel

It would be VERY VERY HELPFUL if the letters on ythe control panel were backlit when operating the unit.

The door closed issue

The door cannot close well. The door and door frame are not level. On the top,the door is a little higher than the door frame; at the bottom the door is a little lower than the the door frame.

Great venting and under unit light

I don't think this new GE microwave is as powerful as the previous. That may be intentional based on the current society. But it's easy to use and consistent. Love the stainless interior! Love the capacity!! Tried the air fry but it seems to leave the interior very hot. Haven't tied the convection oven yet. Would be very helpful if GE would spring for more detailed instructions and maybe a cookbook with a few basic recipes for each aspect of the oven. Controls are easy to use . Haven't figured ...

Microwave GE with air fryer does not deliver!!

Terrible, we bought to remove our air fryer off the counter well big mistake microwave with airfryer falls short to deliver, heating takes time just in general, my kids miss our old one big regret!

Works great

We have only had this microwave for a few months. Works great so far! The only thing I would change is the dial for time. I would prefer the keypad style.
