Very disappointed in this GE product

I bought this item in November of 2024 and at first I was very happy with the purchase. I loved the ease at which it operated, as well as the smart features that it had. I also loved the fabric refresh feature that came with it. Shortly after getting it however, it started having some very disturbing problems. Love the color

Dryer quit working after 2 weeks of use. Had to call a repairman to come look at it. It won't start up and the board is blank . Right now it's not efficient at all.

Think Twice

This dryer is the worst dryer I have ever had. The lint screen is flimsy & cheep. It has a loud squeaking noice that makes you take notice when it starts. It has done this this from day one. The repair request has been put in.....but they are busy & I'm waiting for my appointment in three weeks.

Disappointing reliability for a "Premium" dryer

​I really wanted to love this GE Profile dryer, but I cannot recommend it based on its poor reliability. I purchased the unit in November 2024, and it worked well for a little over a year. However, in early January 2026, the user board failed entirely, rendering the unit useless. ​Having a major electronic component malfunction just weeks after the manufacturer's warranty expires is unacceptable for a machine in the Profile series, which is marketed as a higher-end line. seems to run longer than necessary

It does dry the clothes, but the sensor to determine when the clothes are dry doesn't seem to work very well. The clothes are usually dry 10 - 15 minutes before the dryer says it is still going to run. seems like a waste of energy to run that much longer even though the clothes are perfectly dry.

Very flimsy and easy to dent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is very flimsy and light. A cleaner fell on it and it dented the day we installed it. You can actually push the top and it will bend. I purchased it online without seeing it because I would not have purchased it being so cheaply made.

Sometimes I have to dry clothes a 2nd round to get the clothes dry.

Best dryer I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my GE Profile Dryer. The controls are easy to use. Has a large drum that will dry bulky blankets. It is very quiet. Jeans and sweatshirts dry fast. I have used the steam sensor for my sweatshirts, which removes wrinkles fast.

Great features!

Capacity is great (larger than my last dryer). Performance is great! Only have to dry once per load.

Very disappointed

I’m disappointed in this dryer. The capacity does not equal the need from the washer. Our dryer runs way too hot on the top 2 settings. Anything below that takes forever to dry. The sensor cycle may or may not completely dry the clothes. Especially towels. I most likely will not purchase another GE laundry set.

Great Features, made to last!!

Not worth the money spent...

My dryer stop working and my husband has replaced the main board the thermal switch and he also has checked all switches and the dryer will not turn on!! This appliance is less than 4 years old.

Hands down best dryer I have owned

Hands down the best dryer I have ever owned. It keeps up with the washer and I love the notifications that my laundry is 5 min out from being done, finished and if it has sat in the dryer for a time it gives you a nice reminder. It fits my king size bedding nicely
