Induction cooktop for the win!

Wonderful induction cooktop. And as a bonus, I got all new cookware! Seriously, love it, very convenient and energy efficient. Super easy to clean.

Great features and immediate responsiveness.

Love the look of the induction cooktop, as well the SmartQ app! This is our first induction cooktop and it’s impressive how quickly it boils down to liquids and cooks. We suggest starting at lower temperature range as there is not the lag time as typical electric cooktop.

Love it!

We absolutely love our induction cooktop. It has a tough learning curve but we figured it all out. Even the Hestan Cue cookware. We love it all. Now we are buying all of other Profile kitchen appliances one at a time. We already bought the dishwasher and the refrigerator arrives next week. The OTR microwave in two weeks. Lastly, we are getting the side swing double convection oven athe end of April. We already had to front load washer and dryer and we love them all!

Great Cooktop

Great cooktop. Boils superfast and cooks very evenly.

Stands up to the reviews!

The design makes this a very easy to use cooktop. It is very responsive in heating and cooling down. The cleaning instructions are clear and very helpful in keeping it look new. I used a long cast iron griddle, and it worked great. We have solar and switching from gas and utilizing our incoming energy more efficiently makes us happy, too.

Good but GE MUST create a 36” trim, and soon

GE needs to provide a 36” trim option for this cooktop. Why would they only offer a 30” trim when it’s literally a piece of metal that has to be the easiest thing to manufacture and would be very very easy to copy the design of the 30” for a 36” size??

Poor Durability

Pros: Looks good, cooks fast, easy to clean. Cons: Poor durability Had to replace it in less than 2years of light use. Issues with the touch pad. Luckily had the product covered on extended home warranty. Also, touch pad gets wet very often with cooking steam and spills and it is annoying having to dry it up to change settings or turn "knob" to desired level.

Great Features with slight issue

Nice sleek looking cooktop, works well so far. This is a replacement for an old Thermador induction cooktop. The issue is that I have to purchase a custom trim kit which GE does not sell to cover the gap since the previous cutout is larger than this GE 36” Profile unit.

Excellent appliance

The cook top has great counter top appeal, and is easy to use. It didn’t take much time to install at all. First meal cooked off the new cooktop was outstanding!

Defective GE Profile Induction Cooktop

The unit did not work and was returned to the store. I lost the $ for installation and delivery but was given credit for the price of the unit.

Buy the appliance from someplace other than Lowe’s

I have been a Lowe’s customer for decades and never had trouble with them until the last two months. I like the cooktop but the big burner on the right side does not work at all. It has never worked, and the installers knew it and notified Lowe’s before they left our home. The cooktop was purchased at and installed by Lowe’s so we contacted them (as did the installer - who said Lowe’s would contact us - but they did not) after 4 days.
