Very noisy

We have had trouble with this refrigerator since the day it was delivered. It is super loud and sometimes it sounds like it's screaming. They have replaced parts, but it is still noisy, so now they're just going to stuff some foam to quiet it down. Very frustrating.

don't bother

within 3 years the frig stopped cooling. Paid for the 5yr extended warranty (useless) and after jumping through all the hoops we had the service call expedited to 4 days instead of 5 days. The tech then had to order parts and we waited 14 more days. the repair lasted 2 days and now we waiting again for another 6 days

Horrible

The water and ice machine taste chemically. I've called multiple times and they said to just wait it out. It's been 9 months and it still tastes like chemicals. Afraid to let me kids use it because I'm sure it's toxic. Also, when they delivered it they took off the pink plastic wrap and to this DAY I am still pulling it out of crevices. It looks trashy is the cellophane is still everywhere.

Disappointed

door ice maker does not work properly 100% of the time. water dispenser does not dispense cold water. Such a hassle all the time.

Stopped working at 2 years old

Freezer stopped freezing at exactly two years after purchase date...rep at GE politely told me "no warranty". Thow away quality for thousands of dollars! Plus the $500 in food that was ruined... I won't be using GE products in my home staging or property management companies going forward.

Okay but not great.

Bought this GE refrigerator and it's been okay. it's nice to have both doors open, easy to get into. Ice maker is terrible, slow, jams frequently, only alternative is to add aftermarket ice maker to freezer area. Lowe's floor representative and delivery crew top notch - 5 stars each! GE product not so much.

The best part of the whole experience was the service delivery by Luther & Tristan. They were outstanding and took exceptional care in taking out the old fridge and bringing the new one into the house. They answered all of our questions and were so friendly. We really did not get any help from Lowes in Monroe maybe they thought we were too old and just did not want to help. We ended up ordering the same fridge we had online and it came from Charlotte. Very disappointed in our local Lowe...

Ice Maker Design Flaw

The ice maker has a major design flaw. Big chunk of ice always got stuck on top of the ice maker. We asked the authorized service man to see any better solution. Unfortunately, he could do nothing and overheard the design of the ice maker was changed in a later version. So if you are looking for this model, please make sure the ice maker with newer design to avoid ice clogging.

new compressor already??

Local repairman - New type of gas, can't weld a leak, the seals commonly leak, To fix it, cost half the price of the fridge. 2 years old, latest and greatest model. Replaced a Samsung fridge same style, because the compressor went out in 3 years. Was told to stay away from Samsung, So I bought a GE, now 2 years it has gone out. not a warranty man in my area. but, its not covered anyways. The fridge i grew up with, as a kid, its still running.

Good and bad

Did not come with an egg container. Small blister in the paint left a small perfect circle of silver showing thru. Easy to move, ice cream is soft periodically. Ice maker works great. Some door shelves are way too narrow to hold anything. Periodic noise like the fan is hitting something.

Freezer malfunctioning in Year 2

We were delighted with this new freezer when we moved into our home, but two years in its freezer is no longer reliable and food is randomly thawing. 1 year warranty only, so appears we may need to invest in something different.

Very stressful deliveries.

The delivery and information sent by Lowe's was a nightmare. We ordered 4 appliance's. There were 3 deliveries. The updates I received via text just said I had an appliance delivery scheduled but not what the appliance was. It said I could see my updates on my account. I found out early that somehow my purchases had not gone on to my Lowe's account page. I was informer it had gone to another user (who just happened to have my name and phone number. I was told they would expedite my reques...

GE refrigerator

Purchased this refrigerator September 2022. Stopped working July 2026. Just shy of four years. Now I’m going to try a Frigidaire to see if that brand will last longer.

Very Nice Refrigerator!

I am very happy with this refrigerator. I especially like that I could get it in the Slate finish. It has plenty of room. I like the ability to arrange the shelves to suit our food choices. Ice maker and water/ice dispenser work perfectly.

NEVER ARRIVED

Our delivery has still not arrived and nobody is able to tell us where it is. ALL of our appliances are missing in action. We rented a truck to bring this to our new home and the driver still has not shown up. LOWES will not reroute the driver on a later date to our new home. DO NOT ORDER FROM LOWES.

Unreliable Refrigerator

should've stayed away from this brand! barely a year from purchase and already calling for repairs to ice/water dispenser.
