Consider other GE models before buying this one

Drawers are too small to be of any use, the finish shows every fingerprint and mark, you really have to push on the doors for them to close tightly, the interior light is placed where it it doesn't provide much light. The refrigerator is too small for my needs. The Frigidaire I originally purchased died within 2 weeks. Lowes delivered this replacement because it was what they had in stock. Very reliable

Reviewing after approx. 1 year. The refrigerator is very reliable

Overall Good, Four out of Five!

We need to replace our existing GE refrigerator quickly because it was dying, and while not the model or features we wanted we purchased this one because it was in-stock. Product fit-and-finish not up to GE's standard. Doors (slightly) misaligned, small dent and a few scrapes in the finish on one of the doors. On the positive side it is performing well.

Smaller than I thought

Iam a senior and it was a little difficult unpacking it and it took some time for the refrigerator to get cold

But for one thing…..

Wish the control box/knob for the fridge/freezer settings weren’t right in the middle. Bump it every time we take something big off of the top shelf (i.e. gallon of milk or a regular sized pitcher).

Very basic and mediocre

Very inefficient design. The refigirator under the freezer is so low that you have to bend in half each time to get something. Shelves are too deep and to get something you have to make complex motions. No ice maker plastic tray is supplied. Cheap trick

It seems to run all the time and it's noisy. But it cool good.

The fridge does a great job at maintaining the correct temperature and slow to defrost if turned down by mistake.

It needs to be defrosted which is odd for this time.

Large Freezer, and keeps refrigerated foods cold

The large freezer let’s you store enough food products without overcrowding and the refrigerator has lots of compartments and storage on the door and keeps food very cold
