Poor Craftsmanship

I am satisfied with just about everything related to this dishwasher, approximately 18 months in, but the annoyance of the plastic trim piece at the top. This piece has started to separate from the control panel and does not snap back into place. It has already completely separated on one corner and is starting to on the other. Don’t Buy

Terrible product. One year old and just out of warranty. Sounds like a hammer pounding. Repair man said the problem is in the area below the rotating arm at the bottom. Cheaper to replace than to repair.

Works better than thought

It works very well. No rinsing of dishes before using.

Fire hazard

This dishwasher has broken 4 times in the 4 years I’ve had it. Starting on day 1 with a manufacturing error. Every year someone has to come out to fix it. 3 of the 4 times it was electrical problems. Scary electrical problems. The control board fried to the point it melted wires completely off. There is a burn mark on my floor. Now the wires to the drain pump aren’t working.

poor quality and durability

2 years in and it failed, the main board on the unit needs replacing. Very disappointing. One would expect better quality and reliability from a brand like GE, and nice model dishwasher.

Leaking mess of a dishwasher

DO NOT PURCHASE!!! Probably one of the worst dishwashers we have owned. Even with the 245 minute wash cycle we are forced to do to get even halfway clean dishes there are always dishes that aren't clean. Had to start putting detergent in the bottom because it either doesn't open or stays stuck. The trim started pealing off within a few months. Horrible dishwasher . Bought a full set of kitchen appliances 2 years ago when I moved into a new home. All have been great except this terrible piece of trash. I will be placing my SIXTH service call in 2 years! At this point I’ve paid enough in repairs to just buy a new one.

3 Years In, Regret the Purchase

It was an expensive dishwasher. We had to buy it because our old one failed and this was the only one in stock during covid. The "chrome" plastic trim comes off around the touch screen because of a flimsy door that flexes every time you open the dishwasher. This failed within a year and they wouldn't warranty it. So, I epoxied it and that lasted 2 years (twice as long as from the factory). The racks inside just don't seem to fit our dishes efficiently. We're always struggling to load it effi...

Don't get sticker shock and downgrade

I was excited about the top 3rd rack which was rare at the time. I purchased the extended warranty and good thing as I had at least 8 service visits over 3 years. Finally, the warranty ran out and the machine failed again. Some minor things like the plastic rim on top snapping off, the cheap plastic adjusters on the middle rack kept snapping off, detergent holder snapped and would not close, frequent back flow (and I scrape before loading), electrical board fried twice and had to be replaced...

Not a great washer, especially for the price

Looked like it had all the features, but very disappointed. Bought it about a year ago at Lowes at this point, but already really hating it and waiting for it to break down so I can buy another. There are a lot of design issues, and the cleaning itself is sub par, even compared to my old $300 washer. Even with prewashing before going in, we have to rerinse like a third of the cups/dishes every wash because there's a film of food on the inside of cups or outside of bowls in particular afterwards...

Dead 2 Years Later

Worked fine for 2 years. Started turning off randomly almost 2 years to the day after it was delivered.

Lower rack arms do not hold

Dishwasher does a good job of cleaning, but the lower rack that holds the plates does not secure well at all and any weight on it causes the arms to collapse. Extremely frustrating.

Great, right up until it wasn't

When the dishwasher worked, it was phenomenal. Once it started having issues, it was a downward spiral. We had simple issues like that the edging around the control panel was plastic, and our toddler snapped it off, and more severe issues like frequent failures to drain resulting in unwashed dishes and a major leak out the bottom of the unit damaging our cabinets.

Drain pump needs replacing after only a year!

Right after a year of having our GE dishwasher, the drain pump goes out and the trim around the control panel starts to pop off, sticking out an inch and a half from our counter. So disappointed that we invested money into a GE appliance and then having to fix it only after a year?!?

Cheap and Mediocre manufacturing..

As each and every review isnposting , the top trim is very cheaply made and will break for sure . Also the wheels keep coming off and getting burned in dishwasher hot metal rod . The bottom washing arm has metal piece at end which will fall off . Overall this is worst dishwasher i have ever had , hoping to see what ge does and will reply to this review again

Great washer and delicate feature settings! Cleans scrubs shines mostly any kitchen utensils to china we have!

Failed in 3 years

This dishwasher failed in the first 3 years and I have the 5 year protection plan. Lowes refused to service it. Not only is the product a failure but their service contract is as well. Do not buy from Lowes.
