don't buy quits working after only 3 years

we bought this almost 3 years ago which should last longer than 3 years. and we have had problems non stop since. now it won't even heat enough to clean the dishes even after changing the heating element.

As with most GE appliances piece of junk! Top button panel delaminated after 3 years. Had to fix two different leaks! Not good

Has been broken for months

It keeps saying h20. The repairman replaced some 43.00 sensor which he days is common to malfunction on these. Worked great for another 60 days now same issue h20. I am not going to keep replacing this stupid sensor every 2 months to have a working dishwasher.

It melts itself

Do you like constantly repositioning wheels and trays? Do you like the smell of melting plastic wafty through your house? If so, this is the machine for you! It washes fine, the three rows are great, but the wheels repeatedly fall off. Multiple times a day and once one starts to fall off, it gets quicker each time. JUNK JUNK JUNK

We bought this dishwasher got it installed and it never worked properly from day one!!! The water never has gotten hot to wash the dishes even with turning on the faucet to let the water get hot first and we have the water heater turned up. It doesnt dry the dishes at all and it will just shut off in the middle of a cycle which cant be very energy efficient if it takes 1 1/2 - 3 hrs to wash a load of dishes. Cheap build, but what else from GE

Besides the fact that the control board failed and the noise level is not what it was advertised to be, it does clean the dishes.

Broke in less than a year. I had it serviced 2 times. Never worked properly or cleaned dishes

Must hand wash silverware every time

We have had this dishwasher for just over 2 years. With every wash, our silverware doesn’t come clean. We pre-rinse everything before it goes in. We’ve tried putting our knives in the top rack (flat), in the top rack (on edge), in the bottom rack (tip down), and in the bottom rack (tip up). Our other silverware doesn’t come clean either. I’m having to hand wash our silverware every single wash cycle. Extremely disappointed. Our old dishwasher that lasted 25 years got our silverware clean.

Doesn't clean well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this product for about a year now and I seem to have to wash dishes 2 or3 times to get food off, or I have to hand wash the dishes before putting them in. Not a good machine.

Poor quality

Top panel didn't last long along with the upper trim which caused the top panel to go bad. Now that this is discontinued. It makes it difficult to replace parts. Didn't last 3 years. Very sad! Now we need to spend more money.

Do yourself a favor and buy another dishwasher

This dishwasher has caused nothing but grief since I purchased it online during Covid. The bottom rack is the worst design, one rack doesn't stay in place and pops off the track and I've lost many dishes due to it collapsing. Here we are 3 years later and it's suddenly leaking large amounts of water. I'm seeing another review where this happened.

Worse than an apartment dishwasher

We've had this dishwasher for three years, and I've hated it for the last two. In order to have any hope of getting clean you have to use a wash cycle that is a minimum of three hours long. And even with pre rinsing, half the dishes or more need to be rewashed. The only chance of getting bowls clean is by laying them face down on the top shelf, which cuts way down on the amount of dishes you can wash. The very top shelf rarely cleans the cooking utensils. Bad engineering and cheap construction parts

The too control plate comes off easily , its just been an year the clip holding it is weak plastic , due today to day operation of opeing and closing it put strain on that lomg clip and it will break. Great dishwasher—quiet, efficient, and does an excellent job cleaning. The racks are spacious and well-designed, and the cycles are versatile. Very satisfied.

Good for the first two years after that nonstop repairs

Not built to last

This dishwasher was a massive disappointment. After having it for only 2.5 years, I got the error code FTD, failure to drain, despite the fact that it was draining. Did some research and replaced the pressure sensor. It worked for a day, and then gave the error code H2O, even though it was not having a problem filling with water. I’ve tried to run it over and over and it randomly ends the cycle on me. Message boards online say this is a common issue and the solution is to replace it. What a wast...

Leaking

After 1 Year and 9 months the dishwasher started to leak at the bottom of the door. Poor design of the gasket at the inside of the bottom of the door. The gasket is curling under allowing the water to flow outside of the door and on to our hardwood floor and carpet. Horrible, looking to replace with another brand.

2nd review-2 years in

When we first purchased, it was great. love the adjustable shelves, the 3rd rack, and the lack of noise. Our old kenmore was basic but a powerhorse with cleaning. no need to scrape, pre-clean etc. Lasted 15 years. but sounded like a plane taking off. the cleaning of this GE has never been stellar but now is not only reduced but the soap often doesnt release from the holder.
