Great buy for the bulbs, but a bit yellow. They will do until I either get new units, using the thinner bulbs, or purchase the daylight bulbs that are brighter. I appreciated Robert? telling me about this great deal. He went above and beyond customer service.

Like the bulb but maybe a fixture change instead
Would RecommendThese two bulbs do the job. The lighting is good. However, the fixture is old and as I look at some of Lowe's light fixtures I am impressed with the improvements. So these are quite good for my current fixture I still noticed the much improved lighting systems that Lowe's currently has.

Would RecommendLight fixtures are evolving, with long, tubular fluorescent lights gradually becoming things of the past. I have a 26 year old fluorescent fixture in my closet. When its two bulbs failed recently, it took me quite a while to find equivalent bulb replacements. The model of the original bulbs no longer exists. Thank goodness for Lowe’s! Packaging needs to be modified slightly. The tubes can easily fall out of the existing packaging sending glass everywhere. Simply adding a small cardboard "catch" on the ends that would lock the bulbs in place would be a welcomed improvement and save the poor Lowes guy from having to sweep up the mess.

Nothing special about these bulbs since they have been around for more than 50 years. They are however in more than one way a dying breed of lighting. Everything today is going LED which is even more energy efficient.
