Would RecommendI recently changed the outlet on my kitchen wall. However, the prongs could not catch the drywall. I guess whoever cut the hole originally did a little too much. As a result, the outlet would recess further into the box when I tried to plug anything in. Not safe at all! It also allowed for some gapping. The spacers changed everything! It now sits a little further out. There is no more gapping, and the outlet is secure in place.

Why this is called a wall plate spacer i have no idea , it is a "device spacer" to adjust the distance between the device and the box , to move the device flush with the drywall so the wall plate will be able to attach to the device. it has nothing to do with spacing a wall plate.
Easy to use
Would RecommendVery useful to bring outlets and switches forward when electrical box is too deep into the wall so you can screw cover plate into place. Also extremely simple to use
