Ratings & Reviews for GAF Timberline HDZ Mission Brown Algae Resistant Architectural Roof Shingles ( 33.33-sq ft per Bundle )

The rich charcoal color was perfect choice.

We were very pleased at the quality of this product while we were able to observe the team of Professional Roofing. The contractor was very particular with every process of the project. I liked the little sparkle that helped the shingles enhance the look of our home.

Compliments from the neighbors

MCAS replaced our roof this past week. For the record, their work was excellent. Our bedroom window looks over the front porch, which did receive the new roof as well. Each time I look out at it, I smile. The color, weathered wood, blends in perfectly with the house color. It also works well against the landscape. The neighbors told us it looks beautiful. We have to agree.

Excellent shingles with great GAF warranty

We just changed the roof on our house last month. Our roofer at Ritco Group Inc in Columbia, TN is a GAF Master Elite contractor with several decades of experience working with GAF shingles and other roofing materials. Ritco highly recommended Timberline HDZ as worthy of Golden Pledge Warranty with the Lifetime warranty term of 50 years for any shingle defects or misapplication as well as 25 years for Algae warranty and 15 years for extreme wind warranty. Ritco installation and Golden Pledge War...

Great Roofing Bonanza

This is a fantastic shingle. Great warranty. I would recommend these Timberline HDZ shingles to anyone who needs a new roof or a replacement. A good selection of colors, quality materials, and technology blow away any of the other shingles on the market.

Replaced hail damaged roof on house and garage

We are very pleased with the new shingle color. Clear Point Construction did a great job!

Would 100% Recommend this Company

I can't say enough good about this company. They provide an excellent product and at a very reasonable price. They know their products very well, do not upsell or pressure you to purchase. They are meticulous hard workers who get the work done fast while doing top notch work. They advise you of ahead of time as to their schedule so you always know what was happening and when.

Good looking shingles

I had to have the shingles on my roof replaced due to time and necessity so I am glad I did.

Great warranty features and products

My old roof was 25 years old. I am glad I replaced it at this time before I ran into problems. Thus product will last ggecrezt of my life. Ruff winters here in central ny.

Looks Good

I replaced my roof last month and so far it is perfect. Time will tell if GAF last for 30+ years. The contractor was very professional and they did an excellent job.

Good shingle at a great price

I picked Slate because it is $6 cheaper per bundle than the other HDZ Timberline ones. Depending on the batch, there can be a slight colorization match issue, which is the reason why they are cheaper. Though you can't really tell once they are installed and have cured in the sun a couple days. The only issue is that the Slate ridge cap bundles can be harder to find in stock. If you have SF insurance, using the HDZ shingles qualifies you for a homeowners insurance discount.

Great!

I cannot express how easy it was to work with this company! Any questions that I asked were answered and even questions that I didn't know to ask were answered. It feels so good to know that there's a reputable, professional company that I can trust to treat me like a valued client and family. West, Brooks, Mr. Alfredo and Abbey, as well as the rest of the crew, have earned my highest compliments. Thank you, again.

New and loving the new roof

We got our new roof about a month ago. The Dortch roofing team came and put our roof on in 3 days. When they left you couldn’t tell they had even been here. I feel now we have a trusted and dependable roof that will last!

Excellent and thorough job

I used Timberline roofing through Thompson Roofing and am completely satisfied. The roofing looks great and Adam caught some problems and fixed them. Great job!

Great warranty

Nice looking shingle ……. Matches the house and surroundings

WARRANTY WORTHLESS

We had GAF shingles installed in 2008 by a Gold Level contractor and they had a 20 year warranty. We began to have leaks then one leak the contractor was unable to find and repair. He suggested we submit a claim to GAF as the shingles appeared to have a manufacting defect in the form of the glue strip being faulty and the shingles not sealing down in over 80 places across our roof. After myself and my contractor submitting multiple rounds of photos and mailed shingle samples, GAF simply repli...

Great and easy to use

I replaced my roof about a month ago and it looks amazing!

GREAT PRODUCT, HORRIBLE CONTRACTOR

My roof replacement was one big problem after another. We got all new sheathing and a great set of shinles installed. The contractors hung from our heating exhaust pipe and bent it and caused it to leak when a rain storm came about. The leak flooded our attic and wiped out our AC heat handler. After reaprs anther rain storm came and it happened again. The contractor did not want to own up to the damages caused by their subsontractors work. Again the roof was sealed up and the unit was repaire...
