Great features

I got it a week ago and can’t stop playing it’s better than those other ones

Difficult to apply

Frog tape is now so thin it is challenging to apply, particularly in corners. Not worth the price or effort for slightly cleaner edges.

Horrible

I used on my stairs. Paint does not leave clean lines, there are drips everywhere. When the paint wets it it lifts and runs occur. Now I have to go back on every step and fix all the runs. I have painted my whole house and never had this problem with the blue tape. I will never use this frog tape again. Worst painting tape ever!

Frogtape is the best,

Our painting project was made easy because of Frogtape. Thank you for this wonderful product

Bleeding

I'm very very very disappointed with this product... they say does not bleed but it does badly...it really goes about a 1/4 inch under tape...I'm using spray paint and I'm surprised that what they represent as a best product and cost more than others does not do what they say...I have photos to proof it, however when I try to download photos from this review it closes out and I have to start this review all over again

Warning do not buy.

I was using the frog tap to keep grout from getting on the ceiling. This tape wasn’t on the ceiling for 1 hour. What a waste of money. Will not be buying their products again. Caused more work for me. Would have been better just to repaint where I got grout on the ceiling pulled paper off the entire 72”.

Paint pulls off in places

With many surfaces Frogtape works well, but with others it is prone to pull paint off the wall. The wall been skim-coated and primed and painted with mid-grade Sherwin Williams paint a year ago, but when taping the wall while painting wood casing I found that in a third of the places the paint came off the wall when removing Frogtape. The tape had been on the wall only a few hours and I removed the tape at the angle recommended by Frogtape.

Pulled off paint, frustrating.

I punt more to get frog tape and it pulled up paint in many areas. Frog tape did not leave as clean edges, as I had hoped. I had to repaint so many areas. Here are just a FEW picture

The absolute avoid the tape

I heard the frog tape was more superior to 3m. But now I have a huge patching job when removing the tape. The frogtape is splitting and ripping and tear my dry wall

What happened?

I'm an experienced DIYer and a borderline perfectionist. I used to cut in my trim by hand until I found Frog Tape. I've been using Frog Tape for over 10 years and enjoyed the clean, crisp lines it gave, until recently. For whatever reason, today's paints will bleed thru the edge of the tape even though I use a stiff toothbrush to press it down. I've tried washing the walls with TSP thinking a film was preventing adhesion, but that didn't help. Today's paints seem thicker, almost gelly-like. ...

Terrible removal

I've used this tape before never had an issue. Now as I am removing tape it is taking the paint with it!!! I paid way too much money to do this remodel of my kitchen just to have my paint be removed by tape!!! Absolutely awful!!!!

Comes off clean

Just painted my mother's living room and went through 3rolls of this tape taping up trim and ceiling. Works great came off easy and nice clean edges. Would recommend over the blue tape

Awesome tape! Stay away from the blue stuff!

This tape is so worth the extra bucks in time savings alone. Love this tape so much that we color matched the tape and painted a bedroom that color. Heh. Sweet color.

Didn’t get paint on the ceiling, but ruined it

Should have taken my chances without the tape. Now my ceiling needs to be patched and painted. No matter how I peeled this tape, it took the ceiling paint along with it. Garbage

AWFUL

We used this to strip wood without stripping our walls and then to varnish the wood we stripped. We got this tape specifically because of its reviews, however, it was a nightmare. The tape took off so much paint when we were stripping- not a flake or two, but many huge chunks. We are going to have to sand or plaster before we re paint. Horrible tape

I used this instead of the blue tape because it supposed to be “better” than the blue tape. Wrong extremely upset after painting I go to rip off this green tape and there goes all the paint and dry wall. I will never buy this product again

Great item

Repainting my wife’s office at home was on our list of things to do. My wife wanted specific colors, but she also wanted an accent wall with stripes I’ve had issues with other masking tape where you could bleed under because the tape does not give you a sealed edge, frog tape was an option but I shade away at first because of the cost but decided to purchase anyway because I wanted to do the job right the first time. Works like it should.

Have used Frogtape for many years on my paint projects and as long as you prep your surface, you're good. Sharp lines!
